The island appeared quaint from the sky as we approached by plane. Our transition to our 2 bedroom 2 bath was a short drive through the scenic tropical setting that is the heart of Cayman Brac. We discovered the water was right outside our door and had our feet in the water before we even unloaded our gear. We expected to slow down and disconnect from the frantic pace of life back home, but we had no idea how medicinal this would be for us.

Each new day was spent enjoying a blend of sunrises and sunsets, swimming and snorkeling, wandering about the island and meeting the locals who were friendly and delightful. We found every restaurant had delicacies to consume and the local markets featured plenty of fresh seafood for cooking.

We took off our watches, turned off our IPhones, put tropical clothes on always ready to get wet and spent quite a bit of time holding hands and lazily wondering knee deep along the coast recalling days long gone and speculating on the days ahead. I would recommend to every couple who never seem to have time for one another to make your plans to slip away from all the racing around holidays that are the normal escapes that we often need a vacation after those kind of vacation, and to head here. This isn't just a destination it is a way to turn back the calendar to a time when life was simple and uncomplicated. Stop seeking vacations were there is too much to do every moment of every day and choose this getaway where the focus of each day is the people you came to enjoy in a tropical setting.

We are already planning our next vacation to this same exquisite condo on the northern coast of this Caribbean Island that has been protected from all the problems and issues the rest of the world is dealing with.
