Owner description: St Kitts' beautiful Sandy Point was the setting for a dramatic story which changed the life of a foul mouthed slave trader who then went on to pen one of the most famous and well-loved songs of all time. "Amazing Grace".

We visited the church and museum on a recent trip to St Kitts and were very impressed with the simple sincere presentation. We were made to feel very welcome and it was a fitting tribute to a memorable man and his faith.

This is a friendly small museum, with an accessible video and an interesting detailed written presentation on John Newton, showing the different stages in his life, and the change which came over him. Well worth a visit. And entry is cheap.

A small, well-done display and a wonderfully produced and conceived video about the inspiration and inception of Amazing Grace. For $5 per person, well worth the support of St. Kitts tourism. Just up the road from other major attractions.

Visited with 2 teenagers. It was short enough to keep their attention and meaningful enough for them to want to go into the exhibit. It was nice to learn about the sermon and song and the impact of slavery on the island of St. Kitts. It helped give a better understanding to other sites on the island.
