Description: Discover lively Caribbean cuisine paired with global flair at our restaurant The Rocks, located in the epicenter of Golden Rock Inn. Dating back to the early 1800’s, it sits on a hundred acres stretching up the verdant slopes of Nevis Peak with glorious tropical gardens, and sea views toward the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Montserrat. Golden Rock Inn has been thoughtfully restored and expanded through the eyes of artists Helen and Brice Marden, and fresh fish & lobster come from local fishermen, and tropical fruits and vegetables come from neighboring growers. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served alfresco on our dining decks overlooking the sea, or within intimate garden settings. Under stone vaulted ceilings, our bar serves signature cocktails such as the Mount St. Helena and Golden Rock’s renown Rum Punch.

Stopped in here during a tour of the island (day visit from St. Kitts). What an amazing setting and beautiful facility. Food was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Can't recommend enough.

We have been to Nevis 6 times and always make a point to eat here. The lobster or shrimp sandwich is amazing, the desserts are mouth watering. Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens.

You are going to the Rocks for the incredible grounds, the historical setting (a former sugar planation), the artistic design and the friendly service. The food was fairly priced, but lacked originality and taste. I would recommend but remember why you are going and you will love it.

We sat outside, facing Montserrat - absolutely stunning gardens, very nice service and the food was very very good! Eggs Benedict, freshly baked breakfast breads, fresh squeezed juice. Looking forward to going back soon.

We drove to Gold Rock in our rental car from our hotel on the other side of the island, and it was quite easy. We had 6pm dinner reservations, but went a couple hours early to explore the grounds, and we heard monkeys are plentiful at this place in the afternoon. The grounds are stunning and the plantation and its stone structures are really cool to walk around in. They’ve done a wonderful job converting the place into a hotel, and I’m sure it’s neat to stay here. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any monkeys, but we bought a fun mango drink at the bar and hung out on the grounds reading until dinner.

Dinner was very good. It’s super dark so you can’t really see what you’re eating (we used our phone to see the menu and sort of see our appetizer, but then gave up. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. There were three things on the menu they didn’t have (one was “pasta”, which seemed odd they’d be out of that), but there was still plenty to choose from. For an appetizer, my husband and I split the seared peppered tuna. It was ok, though the pepper overpowered the tuna. I had the green curry shrimp with coconut rice and vegetables for dinner. I enjoyed it very much — there were 6 shrimp and the curry sauce was very light. The rice had a nice hint of coconut flavor to it. There weren’t many vegetables - one piece of broccoli, two carrot slices and a piece of squash, but all were cooked well. My husband had the Moroccan chicken, which he thought was delicious. Certainly a beautiful, romantic setting! Overall, a gorgeous place to visit and have dinner.
