Not alot to see but intersting history of Nevis and Hamilton. History of the island , slavery and of the life of Hamilton. We were offerd a ticket here to get half price to the Nelson museum which we visited another day. There is a nice cafe next door which we were reccomended but it was shut the day we went.

It's quite a nice building in Charlestown and there is a bit of history on the boards. The key thing is that Alexander Hamilton was born in this building.

This was a nice place to visit and learn more about Hamilton's life before moving to the U.S. The museum is poor by U.S. standards but is interesting nonetheless.

We took a cab to Charlestown and wandered around the streets.
We were told that the Alexander Hamilton Museum was there.
I have to say that I am sure the popular musical has resurrected
interest in him. The fact that he was born in Nevis was a fact that I had known. As you entered, you heard the music from the play.
If you take the time to read all of the quotes and the history you
realize what an amazing and intelligent man he was - way before his time. The museum itself could be kept up better and the exhibits could be displayed in a more organized manner. But all in all, it is worthwhile to go and see. I learned a number of interesting facts about him and enough that I am going to read the book about him.

Shows lots of local pride in their history. If you keep your receipt, you get a really big discount when you visit the Nelson museum.
