Owner description: Museum and historic site, this mansion marks the birthplace of the father of the U.S. National Bank.

The Hamilton House was a museum dedicated to his accomplishments rather than his actual birthplace. No photos are allowed, and admission averages $5 U.S. It's worth a visit if you have time to read the biographic descriptions in the displays while the Broadway cast recording is heard in the background.

The Hamilton House Museum is one room filled with a few relics from Nevis' history and some poster board describing Alexander Hamilton's life. Photography is prohibited inside, so I can't even show you how lame the displays are.

It is located on grounds right next to where the American patriot was born and lived until the age of nine. A restaurant sits on the actual site where Hamilton was born.

There is nothing from Hamilton's life in the museum. Not even a decent description of his life as a child.

Its really just a way to collect American tourist dollars. In fact admission for Americans is $5.00 and for locals admission is about $0.37 (1 ec).

Save your money.

One of three very interesting pieces of American history to be found hereabouts. Well worth a visit and fascinating to discover what one can do with one's life by trying. Children from the USA should certainly visit.

Not alot to see but intersting history of Nevis and Hamilton. History of the island , slavery and of the life of Hamilton. We were offerd a ticket here to get half price to the Nelson museum which we visited another day. There is a nice cafe next door which we were reccomended but it was shut the day we went.

It's quite a nice building in Charlestown and there is a bit of history on the boards. The key thing is that Alexander Hamilton was born in this building.
