I Love the island and absolutely love Nando's Restaurant.. what I love the most is the simplicity of the place.. the meals.. the choices of drink and of course the girls are such a great help..
if you need fancy table linens.. crystal glasses and a wine menu.. please don't bother going there.. they don't need your attitude.. this is a local like happy atmosphere.. where everyone talk to each other and thanks Nando for a wonderful meal at the end of the night..

"Nando's" is an institution on Bequia and I mean that in a good way. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere represents the Bequia charm we fell in love with some 20 plus years ago. So if you are looking for "flash" go some where else. Nando goes fishing each morning so the fish is fresh and delicious. He usually has three entrees each evening and each is accompanied by a variety of small portions of vegetables, plantains and salad. His soups are delightful and subtlety seasoned. Nando's sisters do the serving and do it very graciously. Save room for the spice cake with local rum raisin ice-cream. The wine available is Chilean and well chosen. Spirits are also available with the usual mixers. During the "season" make a reservation.

This restaurant is one of the best I have ever been to. Make your reservations well ahead of time as it books up quickly. All of the foods are local and each creation has it's own unique flavours. The owner and his sisters make a wonderful team! Can't wait to go back! A must try if you are in the area.

What a wonderful find!Fernandos is a little tricky to find but worth a visit. this is not fine dining by any means but typically carribean and very good service. It can only be described as quirky and charming! The food served was excellent and we all enjoyed it.I had the red snapper and it was delicious and freshly caught that day. There are no menus but there is generally a choice of three or fourmain courses. The callalloo soup and goat water soup was delicious!! It is definately best to book as they were busy the night we went. If your looking for good grub thats reasonably priced in a restaurant that has an ambience all of its own then Fernandos is the place for you!!

...as part of a family run enterprise which is well worth the effort to find. If you are looking for somewhere chic, or built to serve the corporate-style clientele, then this is not the venue for you. Maybe Bequia is not for you either?

Here you get a great atmosphere and locally cooked food to a good standard. The terrace outside the family home can only accommodate up to 20 or so diners, but the atmosphere is wonderful and the food goes down a treat. There is no menu, the fish options caught that day (2 at most) are described to you by the waitress.

The place is just charming, and it was a delight to visit on two occasions (other repeat diners were there too).
