Dear Resident of Port of Spain :

We are elated to know that you experienced our newly renovated and tastefully decorated rooms.
We are elated that you enjoyed the scenery and appreciated the very excepitional view ,which co-incidentally was also appreciated by no other guest than USA President during his famous press conference. in the spring of 2009.
We do hope that you continue to make this as your home away from home.

We thank you.

hi i stayed with freinds in the local area's i was there for three weeks and on my very last day i treated myself to the hilton this was the monday after carnival. upon arrival in a taxi. two members of staff approached me as if i did not belong there. im a british black male. i informed them that i had a room in the hilton. and to prove a point i went to the atm. and pulled out a big stack of 100 .t.t. notes . i went inside to the reception area and waited to be seen by staff. the impression that i got was that at the hilton they are not used to black men who are single having accomadation in the hotel. i went to my room and when i went inside all the stuff that happened outside just wen away. the room and the king sized bed was excellent. i was on the ground floor. and my balcony was excellent it was very peacfull. later on i went down stairs to the bar. the staff were okay. but i still got the impression that they are not used to a single black male in the hotel. so again i had to flash 100.tt. to get there attention. its a shame . but the staff who brought my food into my room. she was excellent and when i return back to t&t. for the ( 7 ) time. i will try to stay there again. they say you go trini once abd you always go back.

Dear Guest: From London :

We thank you for taking the time and effort of how you felt while you werevisiting us during the Carnival.
We also appreciate that you liked the comfortable king size bed as well the privacy of your very own balcony.
I am also delighted that your room service team member served you with dignity and respect.and was professional.
We continue to put our efforts to advance the knowledge and skills of our team members through behaviourial development training, and I do apology for the one who demonstrated less than expected professional mannerism.
Through consistent quality feedback and critique ,we are able to improve upon the areas where we need further improvement.
We hope to have the honor to earn your repeat visit.

We thank you .

10) Anytime before carnival: forget service! It seems at this time they are getting ready for carnival and staff is saving their charm to be used at a later date.
09) Its close to the savannah, but if your not big on walking have a car.
08) If you get comped for drinks and given drink tickets, use them for shots and take it back to your room at least when/if you order a cocktail via room service you'll have something to sip on while you wait the hour for them to deliver!
07) Don't order the fish... you'll see it again too soon!
06) Buy a cooler, fill with your favorite bev's and keep it in your room if you there for a week or more... you'll thank me and they don't mind!
05) Dont miss Breakfast, good stuff! but its the same thing everyday :(
04) If they have an event at the pool, don't buy tickets your a guest ask and they'll comp you, if they dont just enjoy from the lobby!!!
03) The shower door leaks.
02) Order Pizza from Mario's (REALLY) and enjoy at the roof top lounge!
01) The beds are fantastic and they beat any of the guest houses around!

Dear Esteemed Carnival Reveller From New York

Greetings from the Land of Greatest Show On Earth!

We are elated how well you described the very essence of our hotel ,our culture, our people and our very upside down Iconic Location and Spirit of our hospitality. We are thankful for you taking the time to raise few concerns. My sincere apology for your shower door leak as well less than perfect fish meal. Though we get our fish supplies daily from our fishermen/women ,however there is no excuse that it was not up to the very expectations.
I hope this one incident does not mar your opinion of our service.
We anticipate to your return visit next Carnival, however as we get sold out early ,please do reserve the room as soon as possible.

I wish you and your family happy Easter/Passover.

This property is up the hill a bit from the main part of the City and therefore has killer views. The rooms were nice and the staff helpful. We did have a fire alarm during our stay late one afternoon so we had to go outside and return. No big deal. Added to the excitement. The bartender introduced me to 1919 Rum - my new favorite. Ask for it!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days in total.

Let me tell you the good and the bad things of this hotel:
Good:
1. For the price you pay, you get a good size room. Very well furnished.
2. Breakfast variety food (their menu change daily) is awesome. Almost everything you could imagine is there.
3. Very clean rooms.
4. Good Italian coffee as courtesy.
5. Really comfortable bed.
6. Good linens.
7. Excellent service, in particular at their restaurant. They work to please you.
8. Ask for rooms with views to Queen's Park Savannah. You will love that view, plus at night you'll enjoy the colorful lights in the distance.
9. If you are willing to have adventure plus save some good money, then do not take the taxi cabs located at this hotel. Instead walk down the hill and take a maxi taxi (it's van that works a bus). Let me tell you how big is the saving you could make: A ride from the Hotel's Taxi would cost you around US$20 and taking the same ride with the maxi taxi you only spend US$1. Again this is something you might try just for fun or to have a adventure....

Bad:
1. If you are expecting to have your room temperature around 68. Well forget about it, I changed three times and nothing but 72 and more.
2. According to the locals the surrounding area of this hotel is dangerous. Be aware of.
3. Room service is a kind of slow.
4. Desserts and pastry is not so great.
5. Rooms with view to the back of the hotel have a terrible view. In fact, The back of the hotel needs landscaping.

Room Tip: Rooms with views to Queen's Park Savannah. You will love that view, plus at night you'll enj...

Dear Guest from Caracas,Venezuela:

Greetings from Trinidad!

We are elated that you took the time to review our hotel. We also thank you to highlight what was great, such as our Value, Decor of our rooms, Our Breakfast,Our Service, The very sweet dream sleep beds, our Italian coffee ,the 350 plus thread linen and cleanliness of our rooms.
We also noted those areas where we need to put more efforts so your next visit is awesome.
Our pastry chef has recently returned from our Waldorf Astoria hotel cross exposure, and since then she has introduced many new variety of desserts to the menu. Due to daily level of varied humidity ,it is recommended to keep the temperature at 70-72 . We also noted that you wish to get a room overlooking either mountains, or Bay Of Paria or Belmont Village? We will do all possible to facilitate that on your next visit, subject to the availability of your desired room. Hotel is situated in 29 acres of landscape ,therefore we continue to improve in planting, trimming and nourishing of our flora and fiona.
We hope to have the pleasure of your return visit soon.

Good size attractive rooms. Great food and drinks on site. Friendly staff. The back of the hotel needs landscaping. Requested a room with a good view. I was allocated at the back of the hotel which I was unimpressed by. My only view was silver pipes, what seem like a generator and the back of an old brick pool house. I was disappoint by this. It was during the carnival period and the hotel was facilitating a party/fete with local artists. The glass doors that separated my room from the balcony were shaking and vibrating ferociously during the entire event as the stage that had been set up was in front of the pool house. The event duration including sound check was approximately from 8pm-2pm. This would not deter me fro staying at this hotel. I would however insist that I am never placed at the back of the building again.

We thank you for your very constructive feedback and critique. We are elated that you liked our attractive rooms, and enjoyed our tasty food and drinks. We are proud of our team member's genuiness and spirit of hospitality..
We will do our best to accomodate you in a room either overlooking Mountains, Bay of Paria or Belmont Village.
We are sorry that during Carnival you were in a room closer to the fete venue, and what caused some inconvenience to your experience.

We are grateful that despite this you are and have remained Loyal Hilton fan and we do appreciate your kindness and generosity.
