“Amazing vacation!”
Reviewed 9 November 2011

We had such a great time at the Atlantic Beach Ocean Villas, it felt like home and we couldn't have asked for more! We stayed in the Jasmine villa and really enjoyed the screened in veranda. The kitchen was fully equiped and we cooked most days. The food is very expensive in TCI and so are the restaurants so bring some dry goods if you can! The pool and the beach were also great, very private. We were alone on the beach most times.

We also rented a car and took the time to explore the other beaches. I would recommend going to Leeward beach (my favorite for the endless turquoise water) and Taylor beach. The water is very shallow and calm there and the sand is like flour! There was not much to do in terms of activities, mainly because it was low season, however we went horseback riding with Provo Ponies and really enjoyed that, we even took the horses in the water!

For restaurants, we went for diner one night at Tiki Hut and we enjoyed the food and the relaxed atmosphere. We also went to Mango Reef for the sunset. What a perfect setting and the food was excellent, our favorite restaurant by far! We went to Da Conch Shack for lunch and this was good also, we like the location right on the beach.

Finally, I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know, much better than staying at a resort in my opinion. This was our best vacation and we can't wait to go back, trully a gem!

P.S. The Ocean front villas were under going repairs and construction while we were there, a little noisy by the beach at times but better they do it now while it is low season.

My husband surprised me with a vacation for my 28th birthday to the turks. I have always wanted to go. I have been traveling since I was 16 it was on my lists of places to see. When we arrive we rented a car and drove to the villa. (if you are traveling with small children make sure you bring your own car seat. Rented one was from the 1980s) When we arrived we were met by staff and given our keys. We walked to the beach and my breath was taken away! It was FANTASTIC! Everything we great, sand toys for my 2 yr. old nice beach chairs we just pulled down to the water. Everyday the rooms were cleaned WELL and dishes were done! We met another couple staying there and became good friends. We went over to middle and north caicos and rented a car with them. Definitely do that if you have the time it was unreal! There is not one thing i could say negative about this place. We were planning another trip with our new friends we had met this december but unfortunately things came up and we can not go... but they still are LUCKY ducks!!!
There is about 4 restaurants in walking distance. So if you are just wanting to relax you wont need a car. Just maybe a taxi to the Co-op for food and thats about it. But if you like to tour and see different beaches a car is a good idea. And fairly cheap at Grace Bay rentals!

My Boyfriend and I spent 8 nights at the Orchid Villa. It is a spacious, beautifully decorated villa with a pool one flight of stairs away and the beach a short but lovely walk. The beach is stunning with a nice reef to snorkel right in front. Luz the woman who tends to the property can always be found if you need her, she is in the villa daily (removing trash etc) but she is never underfoot (she is a like a Ninja). I was looking for an affordable dive trip for my boyfriend and the reasonable price of Orchid Villa made the whole trip possible. It is also in a great location for some of the more reasonable places to eat…Shark Bites and Tiki Hut.

My husband and I recently returned from a five night stay in the Magnolia Villa at Atlantic Ocean Beach Villas. It is THE most amazing vacation experience ever.....this is not stated lightly as we have traveled extensively throughout the states, Mexico, Europe, and Bahamas. We visited earlier this year with friends staying at one of the resorts on the island. We decided we wanted to return for our 40th anniversary. After researching the website and reading reviews of AOBV we decided to book. It was so easy and I asked many questions and inquiries by email and received answers very promptly. The staff is fantastic and so helpful with information.

Upon arrival, we were met by Luz, who is charming, friendly and gave us a tour of our villa and the grounds. Throughout the trip, her information and attention to all of our needs was way above our expectations.

Our villa was spacious, bright and airy, beautifully decorated and well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed our breakfast and lunch outside in the garden and cocktails by the pool. Each villa is equipped with snorkling equipment and there is a kayak for use by guests. The beach is private with ample chairs, bbq grilling areas, lots of patio tables and chairs.

Within walking distance there are several restaurants and bars. We visited all of them and were very happy on our walk back to the villa!! The marina has several companies that provide boating tours, fishing, etc. A very well stocked grocery store is a short drive and supplied us with all of our grocery needs.

Our last day, we scheduled massages through a local service and it was the perfect ending to the perfect vacation. We highly recommend AOBV and we are already planning our next visit.

The attention to detail and to each visitors comfort and enjoyment is very apparent and exceeded all of our expectations.

Book your slice of heaven now!

There is something so unique about this amazing island that makes you want to come back year after year. It is the combination of simply luxurious accommodations, hospitality and amazing service of Atlantic Ocean Beach Villas staff; it is the unforgettably clean ocean waters, the beauty of the nature and proximity to the world finest restaurants. All you need to do is to relax and soak in the sun and come back home completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
Thank you for the most wonderful stay and great and comfortable accommodations.

Myself and my family (husband and three children - 3,5, and 7 years old) have just returned from our vacation at the Atlantic Beach Ocean Villas, TCI.
From the moment we arrived we knew we had picked a great location and apartment.
The complex is a small grouping of 3 houses (top and bottom are seperate villas)- one house is located right on the ocean , and across the street (1 minute walk away) are the other two houses and pool. We stayed at the poolside villa - jasmine , on the upper storey . It was amazing! huge open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area that opened out onto an enormous wrap around balcony (which was very safe for children) with outdoor dining furniture and a huge corner sofa . During our whole stay there I didnt see a villa/hotel balcony as large anywhere on the island.
We also had 2 bedrooms and bathrooms - plenty of space for our whole family. Everything was spotlessly clean, tons of towels available and a well stocked kitchen with dishwasher and large fridge freezer with an ice maker. I like to cook in several nights during our vacation so this was a big plus in my books.
We met Luz and Linda that day . Luz is wonderful, always there if you need her but without being overbearing. Our sheets/towels were changed regularly , apartment kept clean and our trash collected daily. The grounds were also beautifully kept.
Linda manages the apartment and is a mine of information about activities, restaurants, local places to go for a more authentic experience... and a wonderful personality.
We used the swimming pool daily (it was cleaned every morning), we also visited the beach at the ocean villas daily, where there is a gas grill, lots of seating and lounge chairs, tons of beach toys (to our childrens delight) and a 2 person kayak. They provide lifejackets for both kids and adults. We brought the kayak out twice with our children and had a blast - the current on this stretch of Grace bay pushes the boat towards shore so it is very safe. There is also a gas grill at the swimming pool and each villa is provided with several snorkels and flippers - which we used constantly.
The area of beach directly in front of the ocean villa has a nice section of coral (water level is about 7 feet deep so perfect for beginners) - my 7 year old learned to snorkel here. There is a section 2 minutes walk away that is even closer to the beach (my 3 and 5 year olds could stand up and still be within depth here) - a perfect spot for children to view the fish (even with just googles). For the best shallow water snorkelling, walk towards the hotel complexes on Grace bay (15 minute beach walk) to Windsong resort where they have hot coral (roped off) and amazing fish for viewing.
The villas are a 5 minute (very safe ) walk from Turtle cove marina which has three wonderful restaurants (all very child friendly) and a coffee shop. It is really quiet around the area at night. There are several fabulous restaurants a short drive away to suit all tastes and budgets. I can recommend dive provo for diving, caicos ponies for a wonderful beach front horse ride (they even bring you right into the water if you want) and the underwater explorer (a glass bottomed submarine) which the children loved .
Anyone who goes to the carribean in August worries about hurricanes and we were unfortunate enough to be hit with hurricane Irene a category 2/3 hurricane on our last day on vacation. This is where the staff and management at Atlantic ocean Beach villas really showed that they are a cut above everyone else. Jim , the owner kept us up to date with information about when and how hard the hurricane would hit (his information was superior to even the reports on the television) , he also very kindly let us stay on free of charge at our accomodation until we had secured flights home for our entire family. The villas are built to withstand a cat 3 hurricane so we were very safe throughout. Linda and Chris , despite the damage to their own homes, checked in on us regularly, brought us to the store for supplies and gave us great advice before, during and after the hurricane hit.Luz and Joe had the apartment and grounds back to normal in as little as two days after the hurricane- a truly remarkable team .
My best recommendation for this accomodation is that I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else when we decide to return to TCI- the accomodation, the location, the level of service, the poeple running the operation and the value for money is in my opinion unbeatable.

2011 was our third trip in a row to AOBV. Larger group this time and rented Ocean Vista, Ocean Edge (oceanfront villas) and Magnolia (canal villa). We obvioulsy like coming here, feels like home. In fact, we like it so much, we've already booked our 2012 stay - 4th year in a row. I have reviewed twice before and not much more to add. However, this was the first year we used one of the canal villas that were renovated just a year or so ago. The Magnolia is a 2 bedroom villa with a lot of room. Kitchen is very large, each bathroom had double vanities, nice and clean and bright with central a/c. Very short walk to the beach, just across the street (which is a dirt road cul-de-sac with essentially zero traffic). If we could not get the oceanfront villas, would not have a problem with the canal villas.

We like the location, walking distance to Turtle Cove and all of its restaurants. Green Bean Cafe opened this year and that became a daily ritual to walk down for coffee and breakfast. We like the snorkeling right in front of the villa. We like the constant breeze that makes a hot July day feel much cooler. We like that there is no crowd and you don't have to play reserve the chair game like you do at large all-inclusive resorts. We like, for the oceanfront villas, taking ten steps out the back door and you're hanging out on the beach. We like staring out over the waters of Grace Bay. We took home a potcake puppy this year and named her Gracie.

And we really like dealing with everyone at AOBV, from the owners Jim and Doreen, to Luz who handles the housekeeping. We feel like she is part of the family now.

If you're looking for a villa to stay at on Provo, I recommend checking out AOBV.
