From the moment we arrived at the airport, a driver was waiting in a Lincoln Navigator to get our bags and drive us to the hotel. This was a great convenience because everyone else at the airport was waiting 15 to 20 minutes for an availabile taxi with their luggage in the heat.

When we arrived, we were greated with cool moist towels and drinks to cool off. The property is really beautiful and from what we're told only opened in April 2008, so everything is new and pristine. The exterior of the buildings is fairly plain, they look like your typical American-style condo buildings, however the inside of the rooms are spectacular. The beds are super comfy, all the tile is marble, and the bathrooms are huge with a giantic shower. There is also a flat screen tv with satellite and about 60 channels. Having stayed at many island hotels, I was also impressed that the air conditioning actually works great!

Since the resort is newer, and as of late we are in a recession, there were very few other guests during our stay, which was nice because the staff were very attentive and always nice.

Dining at the hotel's Sand Dollar bar for lunch is average to good. All the food is delicious, however it is somewhat pricey (think $20 for a burger and fries), and the menu is limited to about 6 dishes. For an absolutely great meal at about half the cost, walk about 5 minutes north on the beach to Mango Reef restaurant at the Royal West Indies hotel.

The hotel's other restaurant, La Pergola is fantastic. It runs about $200 for a meal with a few drinks, but that is in line with all the other restaurants on the island. As the hotel didn't have many guests, we shared the restaurant with only 2 other couples, so if you're not into a quiet atmosphere, you may want to try somewhere more popular. As a side note, I highly recommend a restaurant just a 10 minute walk away called Co-Co Bistro. All the tables are in the middle of a beautiful garden, and the food is excellent.

As far as the beach goes, it is absolutely gorgeous. I've stayed at many Island hotels and it's nice to be on a natural beach, free of rocks, vegetation...etc. The water is crystal clear blue and amazing. No seaweed, shells, or little creatures to mess with your feet.

Directly outside the hotel, are numerous shops, restaurants and bars, I don't think you could ask for a better location.

One note of caution, other reviews talk about things being overpriced, but I think they overlook that this is a fairly rich island. Unlike Jamaica, Belize, or the Bahamas, you probably won't find many cheap meals or shops. Everything is very luxurious, but of course it comes at a luxury cost. If you have any concerns about spending $100 - 150 for every 2-person meal, then the island is probably not the best place to go. Also, the nicest restaurant on the island is called the Coyaba. It costs about $300 for 2 people. The food was okay, but certainly not worth the price, instead try co-co bistro which is approx half the price and twice the value!

Lastly, I can't say enough nice things about the hotel staff. They were the best I've experienced, and it was always nice to have them drive us anywhere we wanted to go for free. Additionally, they let us check out 4 hours late so we could enjoy our final day on the island and accomodate our late flight.

Highly recommended Hotel.

We had our honeymoon at Turks and Caicos. My overall impression is that Turks and Caicos is very beautiful and unspoiled compared to other carribean beaches. I found the restaurants very expensive and overpriced. The one thing that make turks and caicos a great destination is the beauty of the beaches and the people. Be sure to rent a boat and discover the different surrounding islands. It is a pricey trip but well worth it to experience the expansive beauty. They have the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. As far as romance, definitely a romantic island for couples. It has a secluded feel that you can not find in other vacation islands. However, it you are the type who likes to go out and party and check out events at night, there is not a whole lot to do at night. the island shuts down after 9pm and is hard to find something fun to do.

As far as the hotel, we stayed there for 5 nights. Overall, I would rate it average. The rooms are definitely beautiful but you are paying a premium to stay there. For the kind of money I paid, I expected more service. They do not have room service which I thought was unacceptable. The restaurant in the hotel was mediocre at best. Their lobster was tough with poor flavor and very expensive. Cocos was a great restaurant in the area. They had the best lobster. Location of the hotel was excellent. It was close enought to the nice restaruants in the vicinity. In addition th e beach at the hotel was very nice. I like the guard standing at the beach entrance, it just made you feel safer. The beach does not have peddlers selling you everything under the sun which was awesome. I wonder how that hotel would function when it is busier coz when I was there it was not very busy and yet the service was average. The hotel staff were mostly very friendly and helpful except for one male concierge who was not really interested in helping much. He was more interested on his personal phone calls.
In summary, it's great place to stay but for the money it is overpriced for what you get. The service is very good but considering the place was almost empty, the service was average. Location is excellent. Would I stay there again? No because for the money I expect more but if the price is lower, definitely, I would stay there again. I hope this answers some of your questions.

My family and I stayed at the Seven Stars for 8 days in early November. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite and found the rooms to be large, luxurious and equal to or better than any luxury resort room we have ever stayed at. Service at the Seven Stars was the best we have ever had. All the staff were friendly, experienced and catered to our every need. We were treated like kings and queens by Mimi, Franklyn, Ricky, Clay, Wilton, Tina and the many others who made sure our stay was perfect - and it was - Thanks guys! Most all the staff had luxury resort experience at places like Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and other high-end resorts, and you could tell.

Food was very good. We ate lunch poolside every day at the Sand Dollar and there was not a weak meal the whole time. Yes, food was expensive but no more so than the food at other restaurants at the dozen or so luxury condo/resorts that line the few miles of Grace Bay(menus and pricing for all of Grace Bays restaurants are conveniently supplied in magazines in the rooms). Cheaper and mostly good comfort food can be found within five to ten minute walks away from the resort at Calico Jacks, Caicos Cafe, Hemingways and Mango Reef. We ate dinner at three of those four places and the meals were very good. Hotel staff will drive you to and from any restaurant on Grace Bay FOR FREE and we did take advantage of that a few times - a huge perk!

The pool was large and heated and was never crowded. The beach was amazing with white sand that never got hot. My girls, 7 and 9, loved the always calm water.

The Seven Stars is a very compact and beautiful resort, large by island standards but small by most any other resort island's standards. There are no lazy rivers and crowded pools at the Seven Stars. Families, older couples and honeymooners sit together at the ultra-relaxing pool and beach get to know one another. Helpful information on where to eat and what to do is shared and if you are lucky you will meet Glenn and Joannie, the "mayors" of the pool who spend many weeks on the island and know everything about it.

All the rooms are pretty much the same - large, luxurious, beautifully furnished and with marble and fine tile everywhere. Heads-up though, when I go back there is a room in Building 1 that I will request as I believe it is one of the best rooms at the resort. I think it is room 1105 or 1104 and it is a two-bedroom with a third-bedroom option that has an extra-large terrace with beach AND sunset views. It also has a personal gate off the terrace that opens up to the pool - the only suite at the resort that has this pool "outside the door" setup - so you can roll out of bed and walk 20 feet to a poolside cabana!

I loved Grace Bay beach, the luxury suites and the food of the Seven Stars. I have stayed at both the Regent Palms and the Seven Stars and both are wonderful resorts but I love the service of the Seven Stars the best. It is Four Seasons style service with a personal touch I had never experienced before - kudos! I've been to resorts on a half-dozen or so Caribbean islands - Paradise Island Bahamas, Bermuda, Caymans, St. Martin, Jamaica and Aruba, and in my opinion if you want the best combination of beach, pool, food, room and service, Turks and Caicos and the Seven Stars is the best choice.

It was a beautiful resort, a wonderful vacation and the best service I ever had.

We stayed 5 nights in a 3 bedroom Oceanfront Suite at the Seven Stars. The property is beautiful and the accomodations were perfect. Upon arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and cold clothes. As we were escorted to the room we were given a quick "tour" of the property. The entire staff was always friendly and professional.
We had lunch one day at the Sand Dollar. Drinks are about $11.00 and a sandwich or salad was about $16.00. There are tables set up poolside for dining. In November it opened at noon and closed around 5pm. Around 3pm every day the staff comes around with a little sorbet treat. It is a very nice touch.
My friend enjoyed treatments at the Spa. She said everything was very good and her masseuse was awesome! We also went down to the Regent Palms and I had the Mother of Pearl body exfoliation and a massage. The spa facility at the Palms was top notch. It was completely private and relaxing. If you're planning on any spa treatments I would recommend the Palms as a first choice.
We played tennis a few hours. Rackets and balls are available at the front desk and are free of charge.
While on the island we dined at Coco Bistro, Sharkbite, Calico Jacks, Hemingways, Da Conch Shack, Magnolia Wine Bar, and had overpriced drinks at Amanyara. I plan on submitting seperate restaurant reviews. We did have a car rental but plenty of dining is within walking distance.
I did prearrange a special birthday surprise for a friend. The Seven Stars Conceirge staff is superb! I emailed a few weeks prior to arrival and made reservations for spa treatments, restaurant reservations, and a birthday cake to be served on the beach one night. The setting was perfect!
The only bad (which had nothing to do with the hotel) was the bugs. We have come home with tons of bug bites....bring repellent!!!!! Perhaps it is this time of year!?
Overall this resort is wonderful. I cannot say enough nice things about the rooms, staff, facility, and location. I would definitley recommend it!
Also, I purposely made a stop at Greensleeves gift shop because they had "potcake corner" where proceeds of your purchases go towards helping the dogs. I understand the shop is for sale (and I hope someone continues helping by selling items that promote awareness and needed support for this) but if any of you have the ability to make any purchases or make a donation towards that cause I think it would be great! There are numerous dogs running around (and I was told just because it has a collar does NOT mean it has a home!). As you can tell, I'm a dog lover so make sure you throw a few dollars in for helping the homeless dogs!

As a travel agent on site inspection I stayed at this property for three nights in Oct 2008.

The hotel is newly built and offers fantastic flexibility in the accommodation arrangements with options for 1, 2, 3 or even 4 bedroom apartments. All apartments are superbly fitted out and offer furnishings and facilities of a very high standard.

It was most definitely low season when we visited and I would like to see the hotel with higher occupancy but the outside space and facilities are superb. The main pool area seemed a fraction small but you have the one of the best, if not the best beach, in the world right on your doorstep so I don't think overcrowding would ever be a problem.

The gym is well kitted out and the spa, whilst small, offered a comprehensive menu of treatments and was of an excellent standard.

I believe the Seven Stars will most suit families, especially when the childrens club is up an running hopefully by Dec 08.

The food was excellent, we didn't fully appreciate a busy, buzzing atmosphere as the hotel was quiet but if the standard of food remains consistent there will be no issues there.

Overall I would highly recommend the Seven Stars, I hope it can find it's rightful place in the market as there are other fantastic hotels on Providenciales and the hotel needs to distinguish itself. It is a big bold statement on the beachfront and may not suit all markets but the standard of accommodation and finish is excellent.
