We didn't stay at Gallows Point, but walked there for cocktails to watch the sunset from the glorious upstairs open-air bar. Highly recommended for the creative drinks, the can't-be-beat views, and the elegant yet laid-back ambiance.

We just returned from a week at Gallows Point where we stayed in Unit 15B. We loved the location, the resort, the pool, the friendly and helpful staff, and hope to return again soon. The onsite restaurant, Ocean 362, was delicious. Make sure to try the appetizer Bibb Lettuce Cobb Salad.

Beautiful visit can't wait to go back again. The Gallows point was wonderful we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. The rooms are very private and clean it's like living in a condo. House keeping cleans everyday. Once you get off the ferry everything is basically walking distance from the hotel. They will send a van to pick you up. We had beautiful views from our room. I pretty sure most of the rooms are water front. There's a restaurant on site but we chose to eat else where. Clean, quit , friendly faces and the beauty of nature surrounds you. What more could you ask for. Also there's a store to buy items and food so if you'd like to stay in you could. We never made it to the grocery store but lots of people do that.

We spent 3 glorious nights at Gallows Point for a getaway from our home in St Thomas. Even though we were steps from Cruz Bay and the many restaurants and bars, Gallows Point was serene. Staff was more than helpful and we were provided with all we needed for the beach even beach chairs and a cooler. Our unit was spotless and equipped with everything you could need. Snorkeling in front of the resort was good, but the views and ambiance was so relaxing.

Room tip: Any room would be fabulous

Gallows Point is a group of condo type units on Cruz Bay with a restaurant upstairs from the lobby/passageway to the accommodations. Our unit was quite clean and furnished with a sofa, dining room set, and a king sized bed, all of which were in good shape and comfortable. It was attractive and utilitarian, but not posh. The view is simply spectacular from the balcony. It is easy to just relax in this peaceful spot and not leave the grounds, but one can easily walk to other restaurants down the hill. The pool is crystal clear and there are places to lounge or lie in a hammock by the bay open to all renting.
The staff is helpful and gracious. The rides to and from the ferry are reliable and helpful.
The one caution for gourmet cooks is that if you plan to stay in the condo for most meals, the grocery store is stocked like a small store, with fewer choices than you might have at an American supermarket. Also, if you go exploring in one of the car rental company's Jeeps, many roads are steep, very narrow, with hairpin turns and uneven surfaces with few safety railings, so make sure you know where you are going and aren't subject to car sickness.

Room tip: upper floor may be a bit quieter
