Owner description: This beach is as pretty as a postcard, with smooth white sands and clear blue waters.

We stayed at Freeport for three weeks starting December 20th, 2017. We rented a car and toured the entire island from West End to McLeans Town Cay (East end). Gold Rock beach and the National Park are a must see if you have time while on the island. There are busses that bring the cruise ship people to this beach and many other beaches. Some beaches allow you to rent chairs, umbrellas, and such. Not this beach, it is natural untouched beach. Go at low tide if you can.

This is the most amazing beach anyone in our family has ever seen. You can quite easily see why they recorded pirates of the caribbean here. The sand is really white and there's no bars etc. It just looks like nature intended the most perfect beach.

This place is well worth a visit. Start with a brief walk through the mangrove area, over the bridge and onto the beach. Great chance of seeing some wildlife on the way through the mangroves - always plenty of birds. Then it is out on to the most spectacular sandy beach with turquoise water. You can walk back a slightly different route through the mangroves on the boardwalk.

Stunning place to visit. Take water and suncream.

This beach is just spectacular... endless sand stretching for miles and miles! A beach to yourself what more do you want?! Also worth noting that it was used in the pirates of the carribean 2 and 3 movies.
The other interesting part is that the Gold Rock Beach is part of the Lucayan National Park which is protected.
The beach takes your breath away.

This is part of the Lucayan National Park. There is a $5.00 entrance fee with restrooms where you pay. Walk the short trail to the two historical caves where the Arawak Indians once lived and view the history. Then head to the beach across the street!! There is a boardwalk you pass over where you will see mangroves and native fish. Try to go at mid or low tide. Carry a lunch, sunscreen, and bug spray! Plan to spend all day as the beach is just beautiful. White sand and turquoise water as far as the eye can see! Don't miss it!
