This was our first time to Abacos and it is a bigger island than we thought. Make sure that you have EVERYTHING you need from the grocery and liquor store, it's a good 30 minute drive from Marsh Harbor to Bahama Palm Shores. There are No close restaurants either, so you are on your own. The house was exactly as pictured, clean, nice furniture and comfy beds. Unfortunately a storm blew out the internet, tv, and local telephone at some point before we got there and it was the week the caretaker took a vacation. We really felt isolated, but the owner did everything they could from the US to get the internet fixed and get us a new local phone, but after wifi was fixed, we still had no tv for movies. Luckily we did pay for a texting plan on our US phones and I did have the owners info with me. The water had a sulfur smell that did go away after a few days. We love to cook and found the kitchen pot/pans and utensils lacking, but there was a gas grill. The beach was beautiful to walk on as we did it every morning, but come afternoon the tide took most of it away. The water was also very nice, but nothing close for snorkeling. There might have been chairs for the beach, but they were not sand chairs that I would normally use. They were also stored under the house and anything there would need a good cleaning before I would touch it. Definitely bring your bug spray as the sand flies were very pesty. The pool was there but if you are not very agile, it's hard to get in and out of. Definitely bring you bug spray if you want to sit on the porch or go in the pool. We didn't spend a lot of time outside, although it did look beautiful. Maybe it was the time of the year. If you want to be in a nice home that is secluded with a jungle feel, this is for you.

This place was even better then we could have imagined!
We were two couples looking for a nice place with modern amenities of the beaten path to spend some relaxing time.
Well we found it!!
This house is nice and spacious with a big kitchen and living area.
The wrap around deck has amazing views it felt like you were in the treetops. On our last day we were lucky enough to see a dozen of the local Abaco parrot.
Though not directly on the water it was only a short walk of 2 minutes. The beach was beautiful and very secluded. We were the only ones there most of the time. We met one of the locals when we made a fire on the beach who was very friendly. She even offered us more firewood and rum punch (thanks Nancy:)
Pete's pub, Hope Town and renting a boat are all musts.
We had a great time and look forward staying here again in the future!
