We had a truly amazing experience. The buttery, sweet Johnny cakes were just to die for. The minute I took a bite I truly fell in love. If I'd have to recommend one thing to get at the restaurant it would be their Basket of Johnnycakes. Not to mention the delicious lobster ravioli that came with a creamy pesto sauce and delicious artichokes. Some of the best meals I've ever had. P.S PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS THE RECIPE/INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE THE JOHNNYCAKES!!!
We came here for my friends birthday for a week and it was magical. I have been coming to the Bahamas every year since I was a kid but this resort is 10 times as fun as Atlantis. If you like fishing, driving golf carts, freedom, beaches, island cookouts and cocktails, swimming with turtles and sting rays, playing with island pigs, and sunsets where everyone knows your name then this is your place. The staff was so friendly, they treated you like family. The owners Adam and Sarah became life long friends, and the memories we had there will last a lifetime. I have traveled the world and I have never been to a place that I want to go back to more. I’m currently looking for a house so I can never leave.
My husband and I went with a large Group (17 people) to celebrate our dear friends Big Birthday and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! The staff is extremely professional, sweet, friendly and accommodating. I have a severe food allergy and they handled it with grace and attention. I adore Aurora. The food was amazing, even being limited with my Celiac's Disease, and the drinks were top notch. The Dollar Bar is such a unique hangout and the Owner/Marketing Director/Operator Sarah Ann S., helped plan our daily activities and ensured everything went smoothly, we literally could not have had a better visit to the Bahamas! Even during COVID, she was extremely accommodating to make the trip an absolute breeze with max amounts of fun. We will definitely be returning soon! Fish and go Island Hockey with Capt. David and rent your cart from Brendel's Dive Shop.
Beautiful accommodations at a resort oozing with style and history. I recently stayed for a long weekend and was very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. My room was great and fairly priced. The room was right on the water and has exceptional views. This is a family friendly place with lots of fun things to do. Exploring the island by golf cart was my favorite followed by taking one of the clubs paddle boards for a cruise on the sound. Feeling the breeze on the porch while reading a book was the cherry on top of every day. I can not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and very private. You will love it here!
This was our first visit post - Dorian. The GTC has done an incredible job of putting things back together so quickly after such damage. We stayed in a waterfront cottage/room with a nice view of White Sound and our own private deck. Our room felt and looked brand new. Food was tops as usual and the staff is so good at doing their job with great attitudes and service (Claudia especially). We fished one day and they cooked our catch that night....very cool! They made all of our departure arrangements and guided us to get our COVID test prior to our flight. Can't wait to return!
