Dressed up in sexy natural materials such as leather, stone and wood, the restaurant has an earthy ambience and celebrities including Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson have been known to dine here. With the occasional live jazz night and its moreish menu, La Mancha is a romantic place for two but it is also suitable for business breakfasts and lunch dates. Came back to La Mancha for dinner with family and friends. The new gin menu is fantastic. I have tried Gin in many places claiming to be gin bars, however I must say the Hendricks was the best gin served at La Mancha. The restaurant was busy and there was a little wait on my gin but it was amazing. As soon as my friends saw the glass, they all followed suit and ordered one for themselves. The food as always was amazing and the service has stepped up the game. You will never be disappointed at this place. Thanks again. See you again

We booked a table for an evening meal, we were greeted well, and shown our table, given our menus and asked about drinks, we made our order, 1 vegetarian and a meat eater, the food was hot and excellent, service was quick, staff were attentive, overall 5 star, well worth a visit.

Booked table of 12 for my mums birthday following recent visit. We all had 3 course dinner. The meals came on time and were cooked so well. Friendly service from the staff as well. This place has changed hands few times and the new owners are doing really well to put this place on top. If they keep on top on the quality of food they produce, this is the best place in Neath to entertain family and friends. Will visit soon.

14 of us came here for the last six nations match, Wales v France, for a family birthday. We all paid £22 each for a 3 course set menu (which we pre ordered), the match and entertainment. The da went from bad to worse.

Firstly, they told us to be there for 2.30pm for food to be served at 3pm. However, the starters didn’t start to arrive until 4pm. The choice was garlic mushrooms or French onion soup, and because a few in the party didn’t like those options, they could have garlic bread. The mushrooms and the soup came out together, with the soup being extremely salty that it was almost inedible. All the starters came out, apart from the garlic bread. We asked the waitress and she went to check. We waited for over 10 minutes for the garlic bread and when it finally came out, there was no colour to it and the bread was still doughy. Clearly uncooked and practically raw. We complained to the manager, who agreed with us and gave them a complimentary drink.

The choice for main were chicken goujons, chicken chasseur or chicken au poivre. As you can see, the menu wasn’t exactly adventurous. The chicken goujons arrived first on a children’s plate. You don’t give grown adults a children’s plate and expect them to pay full price. Plus, the chips they had with it were lukewarm at best. The sauce with the chicken chasseur was cold. The peppercorn sauce with the chicken au poivre was so salty it was inedible. Every meal had chips on them but some had 7 chips others had 3; there was no consistency. One member was a vegetarian, and for her meal she had half a stuffed pepper. Certainly not worth £22.

The dessert choux bun or ice cream. Well, you can’t really go wrong with ice cream. The choux bun was actually 4 profiteroles, which was stuck to the plate with caramel, that should have been runny. We’re now on the fourth journey to complain to the manager, as what we got served was totally unacceptable. Trying to stay optimistic, we thought we could enjoy the match. The staff only forgot to switch the tv channel, and we missed the first 10 minutes of the game!!!

At this point we asked for a complete refund. The manager agreed, but could only refund on card (we paid in cash). So ok, we got a bank card and took it to the manager he said he’d need to authorise it with the owner but we would have to leave immediately. Baring in mind, we were out for a birthday and had spent hundreds over the bar. He then got off the phone and said that’s couldn’t have a refund until we had a meeting with the owner. The owner refused to speak to us on the phone, so my mum and arranged for a meeting on the Monday morning at 10am. My mum and I turned up, bright and early on the Monday and surprise surprise he wasn’t there. We left our telephone number with the receptionist for him to ring us, and we’ve heard nothing.

It is absolutely disgusting that we’ve heard nothing as well as not having a refund. It’s surprising how the business is still running after the unprofessional behaviour of its owner.

A planned birthday meal out and were all looking forward to it,our deposits were paid and meals chosen from a preset menu, what could go wrong?? Well as it turned out, pleanty.

We were seated by the given time, food came out later than scheduled our meals were checked so we all bought a drink and got ready to enjoy our meal. Thats when things started to go wrong, garlic bread came out last after asking the server where it was and when it finally arrived it was cold and uncooked. Our mains arrived, now if you like child's portions then order the meal as pictured, chicken gourgons and chips which I would serve to a child not a fully grown5 adult.

This isn't the first time myself and my girlfriend have had a bad meal here. Thought I'd give it a second chance as might have thought new management could have cleaned their act up was badly wrong... Be safe to say i will not be recommending or planning a visit back here any time soon...

The whole experience was disgusting, attitude from the management was very unprofessional and rude to say the least. Would not recommend La Mancha to anyone, total waste of time and money.
