We had a fabulous time at Eco Nature Holidays. We stayed in Skye cottage. The accommodation was lovely, very clean, thoughtfully equipped and very cosy. The location is beautiful, Scotland at its most gorgeous!
We will definitely be back.
We stayed at Eco nature holidays from 31st jan - 3rd February 2019. We booked super last minute (Wednesday evening to arrive on the Thursday). It was our first visit to Scotland as I had bought my other half a square foot piece of land at dunans castle for Christmas and we thought we would come and visit the castle. Peter was lovely and sent all the relevant information via email along with some tips on where to visit and how to get there. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Peter and Sai and the accomodation was absolutely stunning. It was dark outside when we arrived but when we awoke in the morning the view from our window was stunning. On our 2nd evening Peter showed us the northern lights across the sky and it was fascinating, we probably wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t showed us! Peter also rang dunans castle and arranged for us to have a tour around the castle grounds which really meant a lot to us as we hadn’t had chance to organise anything due to the last minute planning! We loved our stay and honestly I’ve never stayed in such a beautiful place before.. Josh loved the vegan flapjack you left for us too!
We wish you all the best with your business and I’m sure we’ll be back to visit soon with some friends and family!
Lots of love Paige, Joshua and baby Lincoln xxx
I stayed for 2 nights/3 days in Oct 18 with Sai and Peter in their lovely self catering accommodation in the Argyll. The accommodation itself was perfect for me - comfortable, homely and with everything I needed for a self catering stay. The hosts have even provided a fire pit and a wildlife hide for the guests to use. The area itself is stunning. I'd not visited this part of Scotland before and on the short drive from Glasgow Airport the scenery just got better and better. The area is perfect from getting away from it all and taking up some great walks/hikes. I hiked some of the excellent Cowal Way alongside the water of the Kyles of Bute and also took in some more strenuous uphill walking to the summit of the nearby Beinn Mhor (approx 500m). I also visited the coastal town of Tighnabruiach which is lovely and well worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend this area and Peter and Sai's great accommodation.
We stayed two nights in August in the magical glen. Wonderful peace and quiet. Mist hanging over the glen in the morning. Very relaxing surroundings and modern accomodation - kitchen well stocked with pans and utensils. A chance to get away from it all. On the other hand Inverary not far away if you need a proper coffee and some great tourist attractions. Would definitely return and stay longer next time. Very welcoming and knowledgeable hosts with eco friendly and community ethos. Wildlife at the bottom of the garden is so close - very unusual to get the chance to see wild pine martens.
We had a lovely short break here despite mixed autumnal weather! But you really can’t beat the beautiful autumnal colours of the surrounding Glen.
The flat was cosy and very well appointed. The living area had everything we needed and was a lovely space to relax, play games, read, cook and eat. The ever changing views of the Glen as the weather changed, made that first look each morning a real joy!
The surrounding area has something for everybody. There are walks to take and wildlife to see. But there are also great places to visit. Everywhere you go, there are beautiful views, so every trip out is full of wonderful scenery. With castles, beaches, islands, lochs and mountains nearby! But you can also walk straight from the door or just enjoy the views from the garden.
I hope to return very soon!
A magical place! deep in the scottish countryside. Eco nature holidays was a truly awesome experience. As a photographer I managed to take some seriously impressive shots of Buzzards, hooded crows, Gannets, Jays, Great spotted woodpecker and an abundance of woodland birds from goldfinch to siskin!! There was also the iconic highland Coo nearby! The feeders had been strategically placed on the grounds overlooking mountain scenery - just metres away from our apartments.
The sheer knowledge and hide facilities were just amazing. I recommend visiting in Autumn when the colours are breath taking, when The Isle of Bute & Argyll secret coast is at it's best. The self catering cottages in Glendaruel are very stylish but also have a rural theme at the same time - the views from our apartments of the Glen were stunning. Both Peter & Sai were great hosts, friendly and knowledgeble on walks & cycle routes in Cowal. As a photographer this was a stunning location, Peter directed us to hen harriers, Red squirrels and also Pine Martins & Golden eagle sites. Totally recommend this place if you are keen photographers or walkers Thankyou so much Peter, Sai & Skye Rose.
We had a lovely stay in our two bedroom cottage with our two young children last month. The accommodation overlooks a perfect Scottish mountainous view with lots of wonderful walks in and around the property. Further afield Pete (the brilliant host!) directed us to several places to visit by car (from castle ruins to beaches). The property decor was new/freshly painted and clean and all appliances were brand new and again very clean. Totally recommended too if you just want to chill out (which we did on a couple of days for the kids to play and watch telly!). Can't speak more highly of Pete who greeted us and made us feel at home! 5 stars!
