Super room with generous balcony. Nicely equipped kitchenette and an enormous, comfortable bed.
Breakfast is lovely (always try the ‘Daily Surprise’!). We only had one dinner and this was good quality albeit a little expensive.
The staff are very friendly and always keen to help :-)
This place is perfect if you want to be away from the busier south and west coasts on this dramatic and incredibly photogenic seascape. Be sure to have a day at Bath Beach, just a few miles south.

Sea U is the perfect quiet getaway the setting is beautiful and staff friendly and helpful. All the rooms open on to the veranda and are tastefully decorated. It's a short walk into the lovely little village of Bathseba where you can get buses to town. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the tourist hub in an amazing setting this is for you.

Room Tip: i Liked the corner rooms as they have an extra window at the side great for a cross breeze

We loved or stay at Sea-U guesthouse. It's on the East side of the island which is a bit remote, but fantastic if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and connect with nature. The accommodations were perfect. Very well kept, clean and comfortable. While there's no AC, we had a great breeze flowing through the unit and were fine with the ceiling fan. The food at the restaurant was so so, this is one area that could really be improved for the location to be fabulous. We ate at Dinas down the road a few times which was ok, but really preferred the green shack next to the fruit stall just a few km away - the roasted chicken was amazing. We also took a drive around the island one day and found that nearby sights were some of the best - Haunte's garden was magical (pack a picnic and a bottle of wine/rum) and the Animal flower cave was phenomenal. After 4 days we decided to stay at the west side of the island just to change things up but honestly, I miss Sea-U. If you're ok with a bit of a drive, it's worth the peace and quite. Bathesba beach (the soup bowl) was also a super jog/walk that we enjoyed each morning. Would definitely stay there again.

This is my second trip to Sea-U and I'd highly recommend it. Wonderful staff, really breathtaking views, a good Bajan breakfast and, all in all, a fantastic place to relax and chill out. A short walk to some of the best coastline in the Caribbean.

A few minor (only minor) quibbles. The fan wasn't very effective, but is was unusually humid, so the air conditioned rooms are highly recommended, especially in the humind time of year. Also, it would be nice to have some of the new breed of Barbados craft beers in the honesty bar too.

I look forward to returning!

If you like feeding mosquitoes your blood all day long, this is the place for you.

If you like a completely inflexible staff that point you to their "policies," this is the place for you.

If you like the hotel to treat you like you're there for them to make money off of you in a completely transactional relationship, this is the place for you.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Sea-U!

We take huge measures to keep mosquitos at bay, had this issue been reported while you were on the property. We would have immediately taken further measures to ensure your comfort.
When policies are not followed the basic principles we aim to achieve and maintain would not be met.

We were scheduled to stay at Sea U 2 nights Aug 21-23rd. Due to a flight problem we had to change our dates last minute to Aug 22-25th. Our flight being change allowed us the opportunity to stay 3 nights instead of 2 which Sea U was more than gracious to accommodate our last minute additional night. Even though we added additional nights, we were still charged for the first missed night. This house was a nice stay but be cautious that they hide behind policy to take your money without apology. We had to reschedule flights with 2 different airlines, a catamaran company and sea-u. The only place that charged us for the schedule change was Sea U. To clarify, we did not cancel- we rescheduled our dates from 2 nights to a 3 night stay. And yet were charged for 4. They sited policy as the reason for charging us in response. Their responses have been full of customer blaming and they were completely unwilling to work with us in any way. Both myself and my fiancee own our own businesses and always make an exception when it's the right thing to do. There are many other nice places on this side of the island. I would definitely try somewhere else instead if you are looking. This is a beautiful place but a business that does not run on integrity and is solely about making money. It's a shame.

Dear Guest,

First, let me thank you for choosing to stay with us at Sea-U!
As previously discussed on the property, it is unfortunate that you were late and missed your flight.
We encourage all guest to utilize travel insurance for instances as such. The mentioned policy is seen from the initial booking process up until the point of arrival.
On official check in, it was clearly explained that a refund would not be granted. This policy was verbally accepted and our arrival registration form signed, further cementing your knowledge of this policy.
Our team is happy that you enjoyed the property and service so much and decided to extend while on the property.

We were there 2 weeks ago and it was really great. Great room, ocean breeze, well kept. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

If you're looking for the real feel of the island away from the copy/paste resorts, this is the place for you. Great local food within walking distance and even more if you rent a car. We didn't and didn't feel like we missed anything. Took the bus into Bridgetown one day to shop and snorkel but the rest of the time we stayed close by and never felt like we needed to be closer to the city.

Incredible views from the hammocks where we lounged and drank fresh coconut water cut fresh upon request. Delicious.

Highly recommended.
