Beautiful pink sand beaches that stretch for miles! Truly one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever walked on!

I just returned from a week on Harbour Island, and this beach was paradise. Pink sand, crystal blue water, and very few people on the beach. It is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been. You can easily walk along the beach to Sip Sip for lunch, or The Dunmore, Pink Sands or Coral Sands for lunch or cocktails.

The hue of pink that Hesse Sandy beaches have changes throughout the day and deserves a full day to just watch.

We just came back from spending Christmas on Harbour Island and it was great.
Golf Cart Rental (a 6 person golf cart) was from Sunshine Rental and they had the cart dropped off at the house for when we arrived and allowed us to drop it off at the dock for departure. They came by once during our stay just to make sure everything was ok.
Jet Ski Rental from a place next to Valentine's Marina & Resort. We took 2 jet ski's out and visited Man Island and Eleuthera. A ton of fun. It was a great way to see a lot of the houses that are on the water and not easily accessible by golf cart/land.
Right Bank Beach is great because its shallow and you can wade out really far and there are no waves. The only issue is there is no beach per se. The water goes right up to the rocks when the tide is in and when the tide goes out the sand is soaking wet with all the holes from crabs and clams. This is a good area for little kids that want to sit in water that is calm.
Pink Sand Beach on the Atlantic side was beautiful. 3 miles of beautiful pink sands and the beaches weren't crowded. There is quite an under tow so be careful with little kids as its surprising. The waves on this side are fun and even some people were kite surfing. The sand is super fine so make sure you wear sunglasses otherwise it will get in your eyes and stay there.
Angela's Starfish Restaurant had surprisingly good food and it was well priced. We did take out so can't comment on the decor. We walked over, ordered food and they called us when the food was ready. Doesn't get much easier than that.
Valentine's Boathouse and Rooster Bar for dinner and drinks. Drinks were good, food was delicious - service was a little slow but its the Bahamas so it was expected and no one really cared. The only issue was when we ordered a second round of Pina Colada's and we were told no because it slowed them down. Any slower and we would have been going in reverse - and who says no to people ordering drinks that are on their menu? Order the Pina Colada if you can, it was DELICIOUS.
Groceries: since we stayed in a house groceries made sense. The prices are shocking. The Piggly Wiggly in town was ok for basics. Captain Bob's was much better and had a selection of items more similar to what you would find back home in the states. I think we went to the grocery store 4 of the 7 days we were on the island.
The only complaint about the trip was the rooster population or rather their calling from 5am and on. If i could have rounded up some roosters and thrown them in the water I would have.
Bring lots of $5 bills - taxi from the airport to the ferry, the ferry and taxi from the ferry to wherever you're staying was $5 per person and then tip for help with luggage.
