“The perfect cottage in the perfect setting.”
Reviewed June 23, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I booked the cottage after searching the net for property in this general area. We had planned a holiday with our daughter, husband and 2 granddaughters aged 4 and 2. Honeyholm turned out to be better than we could have imagined and the views from the front, or is it the rear, are superb. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everthing an extended family could wish for from a dishwasher to save grandad having to wash up to toys and books etc for the youngsters. Julie was on hand to greet us and had provided a highchair and cot for the youngest which mean't fewer items to squeeze in the cars. The scones were a very tasty surprise. We had great weather throughout and the children in particular made full use of the excellent facilities at the cottage. We also found that it was ideally situated for the many local attractions. Julie had, prior to our visit, supplied us with various options to visit in the area which we made full use of. The older members of the party were happy to sit at the rear, or is it the front, just to take in the marvellous views across the countryside. In brief this turned out to be fabulous holiday in the perfect cottage in the perfect setting.

“A perfect retreat”
Reviewed June 16, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We made a last minute booking at the Honeyholm in May and were definitely not disappointed. The property was spacious and very well equipped, and Julie and Ian were the perfect hosts. The large front and back gardens had plenty of play equipment which kept our children (11,8 and 5) amused for hours. The views of the hills from the large living room windows were amazing. Glasgow Science Centre is a great family day out, and Conic Hill is a good walk for children. Thanks again, Julie and Ian, and we hope to see you again soon!

“Great cottage for a relaxed weekend in the country”

I booked this cottage for a group of 8 of us to celebrate a birthday, and we were all very impressed. Julie and her family were extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful, but in no way intrusive. The house was very well equipped to accommodate a group of our size, beautiful views, great kitchen and a lovely wood-burning stove. I would rate the cottage as very good value for money.

We found this to be a superb location for some relaxation in the countryside, close to the hills and Loch Lomond, but also close enough to justify a night out in Glasgow. Thoroughly recommended!

I would thoroughly recommend this cottage as it was very homely with a wonderful wood burning fire. The cottage itself was excellent and the scenery from the windows was great even when it was raining! Also the owners were so good to us and even made us home baked scones!

“Wonderful cottage, spacious, spotless and a lovely location”
Reviewed March 2, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We booked the cottage last minute and were made very welcome on arrival. Wine, chocolates and delicious homemade scones were waiting for us which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were large, but warm, the whole cottage was immaculate and each room had an ensuite. The view from the cottage was lovely and the location was ideal for exploring the local countryside. The kitchen was really well equipped with a table that we fitted 8 people comfortably around. There was a wood burning stove in the living which was perfect for a winters evening. Even if it is raining there are plenty of books, games and DVD's to entertain those who don't want to brave the elements. We will definately plan to go back and stay longer.

“Beautiful cottage with fantastic views across what feels like a private river”
Reviewed November 18, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We have stayed here twice and enjoyed both visits very much. There is a fantastic little pub just down the road called the old mill. Great pint and fantastic food. The owners are accommodating and very friendly. Go ape is only 15 mins away and worth a visit. We will definately visit this beautiful little cottage again soon. Great for a birthday surprise and party or cosying up beside the log fire with a bottle of wine.

“Idyllic setting”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a lovely relaxing family break to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. Cottage has stunning views over open countryside and you are only 2 miles from Balfron, a nice wee village with shops etc. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped . Even had our groceries delivered to cottage before we arrived! All this and only an hours drive from home. Will definitely return for another visit and recommend to family and friends.
