We booked this caravan for a last-minute honeymoon alternative as our intended trip to Lanzarote was canned due to COVID-19. My wife has been diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, so who knows whether we will get the opportunity to take another holiday. We were aware that all facilities on site were closed due to the pandemic so had all the supplies we needed with us. Access to the beach was great, we loved our walks with the dog. When we tried to contact the owner to check the wifi code there was no response. 24 hours after our arrival the caravan park told us that they were going to close due to lack of first aid facilities - again COVID-19 related - I can't believe they didn't contact all caravan owners with the news. Unfortunately, neither the booking agent (HolidayLettings form TripAdvisor) nor the caravan owner (Caroline) considers it their problem to refund the nights that we were forced not to stay in the caravan, although obviously I'm happy to pay for the one night that we did stay. We certainly won't be booking again!!
This was a lovely stay, a clean home with good facilities, a good bar/ restaurant on site with friendly staff and entertainment, good quality and choice of food.
Only a 10 minute drive to Burnham on Sea and 25 minutes to Weston Supermare, shops within a couple of minutes and Pontins opposite.
Fully enjoyed our stay
Comfortable and clean caravan, perfect for a few days stay. No extra charge for taking our dog which was a bonus.
Caravan has everything you need, beds were made up on arrival and were very comfortable. Heaters are provided in both bedrooms which help with the chilly mornings.
Location is perfect, 1 minutes walk from The beach and 5 minutes from shops and leisure park.
All in all, a good stay and we will book again.
This is our second stay here and hopefully not our last. It's a perfect place for a weekend away with the grandchildren. The caravan is basic but that's fine and reflected in the price. The owner is friendly and very accommodating allowing us to check out late afternoon so that we had an extra day on the beach. The bedding was provided and the beds made up on arrival. The site is VERY close to the beach, just a stroll over the sand dunes. The bar on the site serves excellent meals at bargain prices and everyone we had contact with was helpful and friendly no matter how busy.
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday. The caravan was lovely and clean it had everything you needed, even the beds were made up on arrival. It's in a great spot right by the leisure park and amusement. We took our dog who also loved it especially the 2 minute walk to the beach. It's only a 20 minute drive to Weston and about 10 minute drive to Burnham-on-Sea. I do believe there is also a bus that runs to both number 20. Its nice and quiet at night it's a lovely site. We would definitely book again.
Stayed for seven nights. Lovely caravan, clean and tidy, and also pet friendly. Great location - there is beach access from the site just a 5 min walk away & bar/restaurant on site which serves great food. Really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
The Arizona is a very comfortable, clean and homely place to stay. Nice neutral decor, comfy seating/lounging area, perfect little galley kitchen and great shower room. Brilliant powerful shower and the water is so soft! A treat from the hard water in Oxfordshire.
The beach access is just a few mins walk away - head left and straight as you walk out of the mobile home. The sand mound was an effort to get over but me and the dog managed it. Good for the leg muscles! I’ve included a photo of the beautiful view as you approach the beach.
If you have a family- there’s a few things to do in the area.. water park 5 mins walk away. Little arcade area.. a few places to eat and drink.
If you want to park on Brean beach - that’s just 5 mins drive down the coast road.
Oh.., just to save you missing the holiday park site.. it’s just by the mini roundabout near the water park.
On my 2 night/3 day stay - me and my four legged companion went to Cheddar Gorge - I missed out on Jacobs ladder :( stunning views from the top.
We also visited Burnham on Sea.. had to retreat to a lovely dog friendly pub called Dunstan House because of the heat. Had tasty breaded Brie and salad. Also.. Weston Super Mare and then Sandy Bay beach which was really nice and quiet. Hardly anything there but there is a tea room with a dog friendly outside seating area. Had the nicest salad there (see photo). Plus there’s an ice cream kiosk by the free car park!
Back to the Arizona - I know this weather is beautiful but the home was an oven!! Luckily I thought to take a fan... but if you’re out all day and come back after 8pm it’s fine. Plus you can sit outside..although I wanted to catch the England game on Thursday eve and chill out.
Anyway... that’s enough from me! Enjoy :) xx
