Stopped off on the way back to Swindon, travelling from Dorset. Turned off as we saw a sign for the Bell Inn, and wanted a cold drink after driving on a hot day. The woman behind the bar was very friendly and welcomed us before asking what we would like to drink, which was reasonably priced for a pub. However, a few locals sit at the bar, which if it wasn't for them the atmosphere in the pub would be non-existent. An okay place to stop, but somewhere that I would not want to visit regularly. Typical decor, with smell of smoke wafting in through the garden where the locals sit.
