Lovely place to wake up in the morning. A lot of effort has been put into creating this cafe and space.

Great place to stay for long hours on the wifi, amazing cappuccino (italian style) and nice menu. Very pleasant experience. This place is very professional and welcoming, a great option for those who want something different from Starbucks but modern and with quality.

We revisited La Paz and of course I had to return to 1240 to drink my delicious Capuccino. I was not disappointed! The restaurant has been completely redone and there are more items on sale now - t-shirts and mugs and many goodies to eat. The service is excellent, the wifi is excellent, the coffee really good..yummmm

The first couple of times we went by we didn’t go in. It just looked too modern and “hip,” which is not what we went to La Paz for. It looks a little like if Starbucks was born in Mexico, but had a soul and wasn’t corporate (hey, I don’t hate Starbucks and it started in my hometown).

Finally we stopped in and were very glad we did. They are serious about the coffees, teas and other drinks. Lots of variety and no weak drinks. It seemed like there are a lot of nice looking coffee shops in La Paz, but most seemed to offer really weak, unremarkable coffee (except this and our other favorite coffee shop, Giuletta e Romeo, which offered coffee that was outstanding in an entirely different way)

We returned several times.

It is very close to the cathedral, not near the Malacon.

All the pastries and snacks they offer are hecho en casa.

Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and fast wi-fi.

Delicious pastries, friendly staff, amazing coffee. If you're visiting La Paz, you will also like the unique souvenir tee-shirts and coffee mugs. Loved this place!
