“Heaven on the Pacific Coast”
Reviewed October 11, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Private, charming, wonderful, best ever. Wish we could have found it 15 years ago. We have been to the Baja many times over the last 15 years. Too bad we looked so long to find the Casablanca. It is a little off the beaten path but if you love privacy, serenity, and beauty this place is it. Its close to both El Cerritos Beach and Todos Santos for good dining and artsy shopping. The owner is wonderful and will make sure that you are well taken care of. By the way the Tiki Bar / Kitchen by the ocean is over the top.. Your own private resort.. We loved it!!

We just came back to Colorado last night and wanted to share this review before reality of the day to day stuff swallows me back up! Julie, the host and owner is a gem just like her beautiful property. Traveling with my daughter and soon to be son-in-law, as well as a friend of mine from college. Bucket list item checked off!
AMAZING outdoor kitchen and tiki bar. Last but not least all of us being dog lovers we all fell in love with Bogie!! We will be back to rent the new addition upstairs!!!
Thanks Julie! Sorry we didn't get to say good=bye but Austin went surfing then we were off!!
Be well!!

“Dreamy, peaceful getaway!”

What a wonderful find! We visit Mexico frequently, but this was our first visit to the Todos Santos area. So glad that we chose to stay at Casablanca in the neighboring beach town of El Pescadero. From the backdrop of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, to the desert, to the white sands and deep blue Pacific ocean- stunning! The drive from the airport takes about an hour and is on a new highway. After reaching El Pescadero, you'll take dirt roads from the highway to the beachfront and Casablanca. The roads are wide and well-traveled by locals. Our travel plans were last minute, so previous bookings meant we had to be flexible and stay our first night in the upstairs south wing and the rest of our stay in the west wing. It was fun to experience both rentals. Specifics about each spot are described in the website, but basically, they are both awesome places to stay! Spotless, super comfortable, thoughtfully appointed. The south wing is bigger, with a "living room" area, a panoramic view of the ocean on one side and the Sierra Laguna mountains on the other, and a wide comfortable balcony for gazing at the water, whales, etc. A large window right next to the bed looks out to sea. The west wing is smaller, but still gracious with a large, inviting bathroom. You can see the ocean from inside the room, but you'll probably spend most of your time on the very large private terrace watching the waves break while lazing on the outside bed! Casablanca is on a wide, long, white sandy beach that is most often empty. A popular surfing and swimming beach, Cerritos, is a few minutes away. There is a restaurant (takes credit cards) on the beach there.

There are quite a few great places to eat. Carlitos was a real treat! You can order from the menu or ask him to serve you what he feels is the best in his kitchen that day. He's pricey and only takes cash, so be prepared, but the food was heavenly and the epicurean adventure was worth every peso! The restaurant at Rancho El Pescadero is situated in their vegetable garden. In addition to the offerings from their wood fire oven (meats, fish, pizzas) they serve these perfect, freshly picked from their garden veggies. They take credit cards and are in walking distance (if you're a walker) to Casablanca. Bought coffee and delicious breakfast pastries at Baja Beans. Get there early for best selection.

Julie, Casablanca owner, is so easy to work with- timely responses, thoughtful, reliable, knowledgeable, available if you need her but giving you privacy otherwise, fun, and interesting...a wise innkeeper!

Casablanca provides a safe, beautiful, relaxing and peaceful getaway. No hotel hub-bub here! Thanks Julie!

“Totally Awesome and Beautiful”

We stayed in the Casita for 4 nights (not enough!) and it was wonderful. Beautifully appointed with beautiful furnishings, bed, towels, etc. Everything was wonderful! We had a constant and welcome ocean breeze all the time and spent a lot of time on our private patio. The beach is great and an awesome place for a morning walk. Our last night we had a big bon fire on the beach - priceless!!!! Julie was loads of help - we'd definitely stay here again!

“We got engaged at Casablanca!!”
Reviewed April 10, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Casablanca is a stunning, relaxing villa with the best ocean sunsets you could ask for on vacation!! We stayed in the west wing villa and had the most amazing sunsets everyday from the comfy queen day bed....it was so relaxing and beautiful that my partner proposed to me right there!!

The bed was sooooo comfortable and we just loved the wee villa- quaint quiet and cosy!! Loved it, and grew a special love for Bogie!!

You need a car to get around the area, but Cerritis Beach is only 5 minutes away and is a great sage beach to hang out in. There are great taco and chicken vendors on the highway, and some great places to eat in Todos Santos; again, be prepared to drive

“Amazing view on secluded beach”
Reviewed May 29, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I stayed here with my boyfriend in May for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The view is unbeatable- the balcony looks out over the beach, which is breathtaking and rarely has any other people on it. The beach is great- waves are a little rough for swimming but perfect for wading. Our hostess Julie was very accommodating and very friendly, as well as the dog Bogie! The room was very clean and comfortable- lots of windows and ventilation to feel the breeze coming off the ocean. It is approximately an hour drive or so from San Jose del Cabo, and located 30 minutes south of Todos Santos. I highly recommend this beautiful little casita for its perfect location for a relaxing beach vacation. Thanks Julie!
