If you can get a marina view room it is excellent. The other rooms face the pool area and restaurant. Gris was able to get us into a marina view room on our second day. Thank you very much. The pool is a little small but the beach is only a 5 min walk. There are many good restaurants with in a short walk from the hotel. The food is good at the restaurant as well. But sometimes the service is a little slow from the menu but the buffet is another option. We will definitely be staying here again.

Room tip: Try to get a marina view room the other rooms face toward the pool and restaurant.

Our second trip to Hautulco and stayed at the Holiday Inn as I often do on business trips! Room was great and bed was fantastic. They have a great breakfast buffet. A two minute walk to beach, they have a great pool and for a few bucks you can grab a cab to a great beach where you can swim and not worry about currents or under tow. Plenty of good restaurants and tourists shops or market in area.

Check in was easy and fast since we were the only ones checking in. Our room was clean and spacious however it was facing the building next door so we had no view except for a wall.
This hotel seemed to boast a more mature clientele. We kind of felt out of place being in our mid forties. There was a singer and guitar player who came in around dinner only 2 times during our week stay. If you are looking for entertainment there is none here.
The pool is tiny with approximately 10 loungers. It is also very close to the eating area outside so when the local families come with their kids it’s a nightmare. It’s open until 9 pm also so if you are trying to eat dinner with kids screaming and splashing...well you get the idea. The hotel also backs on to the marina and there are small boats parked there. We had one day of terrible nauseating gas smell from the boats that also lingered in our room. Many people mentioned it. When we asked the front desk about the smell of gas, the girl said she couldn’t smell it. It was quite strong and made some people sick so I guess they don’t want to address it because it’s not a good feature.
This hotel is advertised as Non smoking however many people were smoking in the dinner area. Inside and out which was very disgusting when you are trying to enjoy your meal. No one from the staff ever addressed this issue either.
There is one restaurant called Jaguar. The breakfast buffet consists of made to order eggs, sometimes bacon, leftovers from the night before, jello and fruit, and cereal. I never ate so much jello in my life. Breakfast was not our favourite meal of the day. There are 2 menus for the all inclusive and not all inclusive. They basically consist of the same thing. But after a week the food is very repetitive. There is no buffet for lunch or dinner. The food was good. Typical all inclusive Mexican meals. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby.
This hotel is not beach front and does not have a beach club. You have to walk about 10 minutes around the corner to go to the beach.
Stand out employees: Antonio and Enerio the waiters. If they are working then the dining area runs very smooth. Fernando was quite nice also. Harim and Cecy at the front desk are very nice also.
Hiccups: our room was not cleaned one day which was very annoying. When you pay for an all inclusive you expect for he room to be cleaned. Check out was insulting. We went to check out and the girl said they have to check the room first. What did they think we were going to steal or break? I found that to be unprofessional and rude. They even walkie talkie’d the maid in front of us. SMH. Many employees do not speak English here. I speak Spanish however I feel that if you work in the tourist industry you should know some English.
The hotel is walking distance to La Crucecita. Or a cab is 30 pesos. This is a very safe area. Feel free to explore!

Small, new hotel that is awesome. Location is great-right by the marina. Great views. The breakfast buffet was varied each day-fresh fruits, eggs to order, juices, yogurts and side dishes-always delicious. You could eat outside in the central courtyard, or inside the restaurant. Very comfortable. The room was spacious, beds and pillows are comfortable, with a small balcony. Met the nicest people staying there. Mostly Canadians so my fellow Americans are missing out on this place. Great pool - had built-in lounge chairs that were surprisingly comfortable and were quite popular. Close to lots of great beaches and restaurants-taxis are cheap and convenient.

Room tip: My room faced the street but the noise was minimal. Used the stairs to get to the 2nd floor.

My Third floor South side room had sun most of the afternoon. Comfortable King bed and great pillows. Safe that fits tablets and more. All inclusive was different. Bar opens 11ish and closes promptly at 11pm. Food was a mixture of A la carte and Buffet. Breakfast buffet has a fresh egg station. Wait staff were usually friendly but work long hours and can be stressed when it becomes very busy. A few issues here and there but they mostly were worked out. Small hotel makes it easy to meet people and makes groups for visiting beaches farther away via taxi.

Room tip: Afternoon sun on balconies on third floor.
