Owner description: Small museum in Olas Altas featuring exhibits of Sinaloan history and culture as well as several pottery displays.

We went to this museum as one of the first stops in Mazatlán. After a little bit of problem finding the attraction, we spent a good 2 hours looking at the exhibits and displays. The cost of admission was great, 40 pesos per person. At the current exchange rate this was about 50 cents (USD).

The narrative is bilingual (Spanish and English). You have to be careful, some museums are not bilingual.

you will find this place quite good but only if you have an interest in history, especially Mexican history and particularly the history of Native Americans from this area of Mexico. because I have a great interest in these things (my grandmother was part Native American from northern Mexico) I found this place to be of great interest. it is a small museum. I read some people were here for only 30 minutes. we were here for one good hour. lots of early photos of the Mexican revolution which I found most interesting. I didn't realize a number of battles were fought in this area. it is located in the central historic area of Mazatlan so you can't go wrong in coming here

For such a small museum it had a wonderful collection. There were human remains, pottery and hand hewn tools on display. The information is displayed in both Spanish and English. I really enjoyed it for the price - approximately $4 CAD.

Dropped in while strolling old town. There are maybe twenty exhibits. English translations on all of them. The museum is located off a delightful little plaza. Ha a a drink at macaws across the way. Worth a half hour of your time and supports the local arts dos why not?

Open Sunday! Close to Playa Olas Altas, Plaza Machado.

Very small, well organized museum. Could use more articulation of detail.

Features both the archeology and local art.
