“Salsa & Salsa was Fantastic--A MUST for Anyone visiting Mazatlan!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2012

Our dancing chefs, Maaike and Stephanie, were wonderful! They had us laughing and drinking moments after our arrival. The hands-on style of the tour was fun, engaging and memorable for all. Our whole group had fun chopping and mixing fresh ingredients, while all the while drinking our fill of bottomless margaritas. The salsas were supplemented with crunchy chips, taquitos, quesadillas and lots of laughs. After the delightful cooking class, the Salsa dancing commenced! I still have "street-side/seaside" singing through my head...a handy way to announce "right/left" to a somewhat inebriated group of newbie salsa dancers. We will absolutely do this tour again when we return to the beautiful, peaceful city of Mazatlan.

Dancing Chefs Stephanie and Maaike take a bow..... thank you for your kind words. We're glad we could teach you how to make a mean margarita and yummy salsas from scratch, while laughing the whole time. Our easy salsa dancing class is accesible for seasoned dancers and newbies: everybody leaves with a pep in their step! Hope to see you on your next visit to Mazatlan..... Olé!!!

“Fun from beginning to end”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2012

Everyone is there to have a good time! We were at a table with two other couples - everyone was at ease and talking. The margaritas start as soon as you sit down. Our "Dancing Chefs" made the whole experience fun. The salsas we made were delicious, especially the final dessert salsa. The dancing was simple and fun too. Highly recommend for anyone that just wants a relaxing good time.

Hi Stoens family! Thank you for your wonderful review. Salsa and Salsa is all about relaxing and having a good time. There are 6 people per table, which soon become your best friends. Is it because of the good food, the marvelous drinks or the contagious enthusiasm of the Dancing Chefs instructors? To find out, come and join us on Mondays 11am-2pm or Fridays 5-8pm........ Olé!!!

“Awesome Fun!”

If you like salsa and like to dance, this a must do while in Mazatlan.... Our instructors were Maaike and Jessica. They were delightful and knowledgeable. The instructions on how to make the salsas (seven of them) were clear and concise - and delivered with a sense of humor. We especially enjoyed learning about the dessert salsa but no hints about what goes into it.
Dance lesson was fun, energetic and relatively easy so as not to be too scary for those who don't fancy themselves to be light-footed on the dance floor. I promise you will enjoy this "tour!"

“Fun hours of entertainment!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2012

If you are a foodie, or just enjoy trying different foods ..... Salsa and Salsa is a great way to spend a few hours while in Mazatlan. At the Royal Villas, right at the sand and surf in the Golden Zone, you are provided unlimited margaritas while you make your own versions of salsa with the mis en place ingredients set up for you. Throughout the evening you and your table of new friends are encouraged to get up and learn a salsa dance step or two. After tweaking your freshly made salsas and tasting on chips, quesadillas and the like - all washed down with margaritas - you are more than ready to get up and practice your new dance skills with the rest of the group! A must-do while you're in Mazatlan ...... and I can't wait, as they will be opening their first US location in Seattle!

Hi Seattle foodie! Looks like you found everything you were looking for at the Salsa and Salsa experience. Thank you for pointing out that the our kitchen staff roasts and dices all the ingredients for the salsas beforehand. In this way you can easily prepare the salsas with the Mexican Molcajete (Mortar and pestle) and other fun tools. We're glad to hear that you had fun at the Salsa dancing class too. Hope to see you soon in Seattle..... Olé!!!
