I'd heard this place was hard to find; good thing we took a taxi! It's tucked away in on a neighborhood back street, far from the madding crowds of the Boardwalk. The dinner we had here was wonderful. No menu, just what Chef Bruce prepares on any given day. We had let the restaurant know that two people in our party had gluten and dairy intolerances and, with the exception of dessert (which was just some fruit in a Grand Marnier sauce vs. something extraordinary like a flourless dark chocolate cake), Teatro Limon did a SUPERB job giving a gourmet experience to every single member of our dining party.
We started with a tomato/basil soup (cream of cauliflower for those who could have dairy), then moved onto a wonderful Mediterranean salad, followed by a course of spicy shrimp, and main dishes that included three different meats (bison, steak and lamb) in delicious sauces. Dessert was creme brulee (nicely done) or fruit in martini glass (Bruce's wife apologized for that - seems they hadn't communicated on the dessert front). Bruce also chose a lovely bottle of wine for us and was very personable.
All in all, a delightful meal and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Bravo, Teatro Limon! We will definitely be back. :)
