Mama Rosa's is a beautiful little restaurant tucked in a shady, hidden street in El Centro (just above Cafe de Artistes). It is very cozy and elegant with soft piano music playing under an open-air roof. Carlos was our waiter who had very good English and impeccable service.
The food was as elegant as the decor. The menu has 9 main dishes, all at the same price - 249mp. I had the stuffed chicken plate and my wife had the double pork chop. Both had absolutely 5-star presentation on the plates and in their flavors.
This is a very romantic place - good for anniversaries, dates, personal events, or groups who want a quiet place to enjoy good food and conversation. It is about 4 blocks off of the Malecon and well worth the short walk.
Note they are closed in the off-season but just re-opened last week (3 week of Nov 2017).
