“The tip of the Bay of Banderas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2012

is totally worth the drive or boat ride. It is the jumping off spot for the natural preserve islands, the beach restaurants are terrific and you can hire a private craft at a reasonable price to race the Dolphins

“Nice day trip for food and wading and checking things out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2011

We ate beach side here on reccommendations from our hosts and were not dissappointed the only thing is the beach is very rocky here and we could not find a place to swim so you might want to look further if there is a different place with no rocks away from the restaurants ...you will also need tough skin cause we were approached dozens of times by the same vendors while we were trying to eat to buy things and it was disrespectful to say the least ...very beautiful here though

“A decent spot to relax - nothing fancy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2010

A few good eats--and very good eats including Cafe Des Artistes--and an easy place to grab some beers and claim a spot on the beach but otherwise Punta de Mita remains a small, relatively undeveloped village with the nearby St. Regis and Four Seasons serving as feeder markets for tourists who venture outside of the gates. The beach itself is OK, a little rocky but manageable. An OXXO and a couple ATM machines provide the necessities but there's really not that much else. Head to the aforementioned resorts for golf, or drive up 30 minutes to Sayulita for surfing, shopping, art and general hippy-ness.
