The hotel is very nice for a few nights. We stayed four nights, the staff is great rooms are clean. The hotel is very hard to find. Street signs are few and roads are pretty rough. This is from a gringo so know some Spanish and everyone is helpful.

Room tip: We rented the two bedroom apt. Keep the A/C on.

An old time friend visiting from Los Angeles, asked me if I had been in San Blas, Nayarit?, that was all it took to decide to go, we made reservations at Marina San Blas, hotel, not knowing what to expect, well, the surprise was great, this a very small hotel, only 10 rooms and one suite, no restaurant, but very quiet, clean and well taken care of, I believe this is the only hotel in San Blas, that is right at the entrance of the ocean, in an estuary, it has a small but clean swiming pool, and Kayaks, for you use, (free of charge) the rooms are small but very clean all with view to the estuary, the only negative comment is that the bathroom is very, very small.

This hotel is the site property to Hotel Hacienda Flamingoes, but it is not in the same league. It is a little ways down from the marina and on a side street- not the easiest to find. It is well maintained, but there was no water in the room and no towels- we had to go to the front desk and ask for them. The bathroom was very small. The drapes didn't cover the windows allowing early morning sun to come in. The bed was comfortable enough and the wifi worked, but our room- number 7- seemed to be below what sounded like the laundry room where tennis shoes were going around the dryer and banging in the dryer drum all night long- not really allowing for sleep. When I reported this to the staff they sort of shrugged their shoulders and didn't seem to understand. Our friends who were staying next door in # 6 did not hear the thumping at all. When I went outside to see where it was coming from, it seemed to be above our room only. Oh well, a mystery- but one that leads to the biggest part of my poor review.

Room tip: Avoid Room 7- see above

Lovely rooms with a view of the harbor and the jungle on the other side.

They definitely make an effort to make it upscale (bathrobe) and comfy (video library). The afternoon breeze out on the patio is pretty amazing. And the beach is only a 20 minute walk (don't believe the 5 min. nonsense...you have to walk around the whole naval complex).

Internet was useless. Pool looks like a science experiment.

NB: San Blas has a serious mosquito problem everywhere .

Room tip: Some room are smoking.

We stayed at this hotel for a night while visiting San Blas. The rooms are spacious and are well equipped however the toilet were not completely closed rooms which is a bit weird. The bed sheets had several stains and you get coffee machine but no coffee.

Outdoor there is a well taken care of garden with a dirty swimming pool with an unpleasant green color. The receptionists were quite rude and showed little intention to help. The air conditioning workers but v loud. No chance to sleep with that machine on. The price was 970 peso for double room which might not sound too much in USD or Euros but this is not cheap for such a hotel in a town like San Blas.
