Management is doing a good job of hiring & training their staff...We stayed at room 203, ever since we got here, the staff was excellent in meeting our needs, kudos to the staff and their management...Miguel, the bell boy was always supper nice and catered/treated you super good. Ismael from the restaurant staff and his coworker were also attentive to our needs. The front desk ladies were also great. And by the way, the Hotel has a unique character and is right around the corner from downtown, which is great. On Fri & Sat nights, the traffic lines up on the main streets with some the local folks running their stereos full blast, thsi hotel is located perfectly away from that.

This is a lovely hotel and perfect for visiting Guanajuato. We had a great time staying here, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it's right around the corner from the center of downtown.

We had to leave town at 4 am for our flight and the hotel called a taxi for us and made sure we got there on time.

We were in room 402. I counted over 70 stairs to get to our room. However, the room was very spacious with several windows and a small kitchenette. Small bathroom. Great buffet breakfast. Highly recommend for price and location.

Stayed here with my sisters in February 2017 and were comfortable and enjoyed our stay but had some issues. We booked two rooms at the same time - obviously a group, but ended up with rooms on two different floors. Lots of stair climbing - rooms were comfortable but inconsistent. We had a small kitchen in our room with zero tableware, silverware or cookware. We probably would not have used it, but why have those facilities if you do not populate them? The other room had everything you would expect to cook and eat with. The bathroom was small with zero storage space and nowhere to hang towels. and the rooms are built round open stair wells where noise travels, and it you have a window that faces one of the corridors or stairwells you have to keep the curtains closed for privacy, BUT, the hotel was wonderfully central, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, the roof top terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The elevator is in the process of being installed so the stair climbing should ease off. Definitely a fun place to stay, with the above caveats.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel last summer. I give it four stars, because of its ambiance, and it's also in a great location. The staff was also very nice. You can walk to the University, Teatro Juarez, and El Jardin. Everything is nearby. Also, a little pro-tip, if you would like to wash your clothes before heading back home, there is a laundry lady that will wash and fold your clothes down the street to the left for next to nothing (coming out of the hotel). It's missing one more star due to the fact the beds are a little hard, and the pillows are flat. The walls are thin so you are able to hear everything. We didn't mind that much, just remember that everyone can hear you. ;) Overall, we loved and enjoyed our stay here.

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs, or get tired easily, make sure to get a room in the lower level. There are plenty of stairs, and no elevator.
