This was not the best craft market, but we did find some souvenirs. It is centrally located in Coyoacan, so it is worth a trip if you are already in the area.

The day we went, the market was quiet and felt very dark and unfriendly. Sellers were not willing to haggle in general but prices seemed inflated compared to elsewhere in Mexico City. Skip this and go to the Ciudadela Market instead.

Great market. Mainly touristic stuff but the quality seamed to be nice. I think the prices were good. I got some mole and delicious Chilly salsa.

If you need to shop for souvenirs in Mexico, buy it from here or the 'touristy' areas because there are really no souvenir shops around the district. it's all placed outside the touristy areas. Moreover, learn to haggle so you can get a discounted price

This market did not seem particularly artisianal and I didn't see anything particularly special there. There are a lot of good souvenirs, but nothing I did not see elsewhere at a similar price. The neighborhood is interesting to walk around, and there are a lot of restaurants, and an excellent bakery across the park from the market. If you are in the neighborhood for another reason (Frida Kahlo house, Leon Trotsky house, etc.) and want to buy some souvenirs, it might be worth a stop.
