“Why not?”

Nice location and private room.

Breakfast and dinner are served on time. Good bargain, for Mexico City.

The receptionist speaks understandable English, but it would be great if you know some Spanish.

The only problem is inevitable noise at night, when loud music is played on roof top before quiet hour.

If you have ever seen the movie EuroTrip, recall the scene when they are in Eastern Europe staying at a Hotel. The currency in that country was so poor, the main characters had the entire staff working for them and treating them like gods for a nickel...Here is the link if you have never seen it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5NuuJQT8ZM).
My stay here was very similar. Shuttle pick ups from the airport included was just the start...breakfast and dinner included, roof top bar, friendly staff always called ahead for us - hooking us up where ever we went.
I'll put it this way, my stay in Mexico City was significantly enhanced because of my stay here.

Glacias

Room Tip: Rooms were similar, but was happy with where we stayed.

I arrived in Mexico City and this hostel was absolutely amazing. I have been to over 40 countries and it has been hard for me to compare the services of this hostel to any other I have been to. First, they meet you at the airport after you arrive with a free shuttle, next they include a nice breakfast and a full course dinner in the regular price. Also, it is so clean, you won't even need sandals in the shower! Furthermore, the staff at this hostel are really accommodating and perfect. Really, there is so much to say about this place that it would be a waste of time to list everything. For anyone who is planning or plans to visit Mexico City, I recommend this place without reservation. When I return to Mexico City I will stay at this place, like I said, it is one of best I have stayed in.

Just returned from spending 7 night in Mexico City, all of which were spent at the Hostel Amigo Suites. Our room was spacious and clean with newer furniture and a private bathroom. The shower was a decent size and when there was water, it was always hot. We had 3 nights without water- supposedly due to a pipe breaking a few blocks away and them having to truck in water to their tanks- which ran out for 3 days. So that sucked at the time, but when we did have water, it was hot showers. The bed was a double and the bedding was clean but it was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on! There is no mattress, it is just a box spring and no padding. Every time you move, the bed makes noises from the rusty springs. Which is really too bad, becasue we loved the place besides. We were on the 3rd floor and at night you could here the music and people on the rooftop terrace. I am not a light sleeper, so wasn't too bothered by it, but my husband did have a hard time a couple nights. The whole place is clean and it is centrally and conveniantly located. There is a 711 on the corner to buy snacks and cheap beverges. The rooftop terrace is spacious and they have a small bar. Their prices are fair. The food was ok, but above all conveniant by being included. Breakfast was mostly corn flakes and occasionally other things. Dinner was always filling but nothing special. Free WIFI and they do have computer access too. Above all, the staff was great. Especially Vladimir and Andrea. They handled the mishaps with ease and were very professional. We had many converstaions and fun with Vladimir and he personlaly helped us find a driver to a town that they didn't provide tours too. A+ for the staff.
We also took the pyramid tour from them and it was a good price and a great guide. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to someone else, just know the beds are hard!

Thanks again to the staff, you made our stay great! :)

This hostel exceeded all my expectations. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted by friendly staff. We had a private room, which was huge, clean and comfortable. They offer free breakfast and dinner, which is basic but great if your on a tight budget. There is a rooftop bar with music. Its in a great location just a block or 2 back from the zocalo. In walking distance of many attractions, the subway, and some great restaurants. The staff are very helpful and there are many tours offered at the hostel with an english speaking guide. If you want a guaranteed good nights sleep remember to pack ear plugs because some nights it was noisy and they dont seem to sell earplugs anywhere...

An all round great hostel. Very friendly and helpful staff, who will assist with anything you need.....local music, restaurant, drinking, shopping venues or urgent medical attention. Breakfast and dinner included. Organised daily tours to experience the culture and history of Mexico city and surrounds...pyramids were amazing! Rooms are clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the street. Great roof top bar and very social, relaxed atmosphere.

They have free breakfast and dinner (which we didn't have) which is really nice. The location is great, super close to the zócalo and you can walk from the metro station. Also, all of the staff was super nice! But, the private room felt really small, and the bed was rock hard! It just wasn't "cozy" enough for my own taste, and the breakfast wasn't that great.
