Hotel was recommended by Thompson, Excellent service and staff all very friendly. Some even went out of their way to help us learn how the metro and subway worked. They even packed our lunch to our spec (we are vegetarians) as we did a lot of tours . Saved us looking for veggie food in the city. Hotel was clean and adequate and sometimes even when we forgot our money lying around , nothing was taken. This hotel is definite value for money so if you are on a budget I would highly recommend.

This hotel is centrally located with easy access to the metrobus and the metro. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff was friendly. Our room wasn't that good though. It was in the first floor right next to the entrance, so it was a little bit noisy. It was also dark and the floor was slanted.

Room Tip: Avoid room 101

My husband and I have stayed 3 times at the Hotel Del Principado at 42 Londres. Its location in Zona Rosa, not far from Paseo de la Reforma is just so convenient, safe and economical. We booked through otel.com and ended up paying $44 (Canadian) which included a buffet breakfast, clean room, wireless and TV. As this was our 3rd visit we have now gotten to know the staff and find them all to be very professional, helpful and friendly. We always get a room away from the street so its a very quiet place to sleep.

Close by is the Insurgentes metro station which provides access to all metro lines. There is a fancy mall (222Reforma ) close by, lots or restaurants and boutiques on Londres and easy access to Chapultepec Bosque. Love Sunday morning when Reforma Blvd is closed to traffic and thousands are out walking, riding their bikes and enjoying the beauty of the area...architecture, trees, sculptures, monuments.

Good cost benefit, clean, very nice staff, we were granted with an early checkin, no cost. For those who don't care about luxury and want a budget hotel.

We had a bad experience with Ramada Aeropuerto who did not honor our reservation at 2am at night. However, for next 3 days we were staying at Del Principado, so we tried our luck and asked for early checkin. The guy at front desk was so nice he gave us another room to crash in until our check-in time at noon! We could not thank him enough! This is customer service!
Bottled water is so expensive everywhere in Mexico, but here, we had three bottles in our room everyday. Room was cleaned nicely and the breakfast was good too(not so great for vegetarians, but its difficult for vegetarians to survive in Mexico! :P)
Walking distance to Reforma 222 Mall, Insurgence Metro station and generally not a bad location. we had a good time shopping outside the Metro station.

My husband and I had booked this hotel along with a couple of friends. The staff were really helpful and excellent. The housekeeping women cleaned the room on time and also we were supplied with bottled drinking water everyday without any extra cost. The breakfast was free and great. On a whole this hotel is reasonably priced and we had a good stay in Mexico city.

I booked four nights at the this hotel after all the great reviews on trip advisor. In spite of making my reservation two months in advance and informing them at that time that our flight did not get in until 9.30pm on arrival at the hotel we were told the triple room we had booked was not available and instead were sent to their sister hotel the Excelsior which was old, smelled of stale smoke and so noisy we were unable to sleep. We left after one night.
