The hotel is overall excellent, the breakfast buffet every morning is very impressive, and the $15 lunch buffet is incredible for the price it is offered at.
Some minor complaints is the swimming pool area is very slippery, the floor/ground outside the pool is NOT non-slip, this is arguably an OSHA or similar issue, even tho the hotel is "in Mexico" it is an American brand and should "set the bar higher" and reflect US standards. The same slippery service is in the sauna and hot tub area.
Regarding the hot tub/sauna area, the girl working that area stated it is normally 400 pesos to sit in the hot tube ($35 USD) BUT would "waive this" since I was Marriott Platinum. If true, this should be free for all guests.
The gym has plenty of treadmills but minimal weights. This is a another gripe I have.
In-room showerheads are kinda cheap and not resembling luxury associated to a "JW" level Marriott, these showerheads are typically found at Wal-Mart or Home Depot.
Overall excellent hotel but some areas could use improvement.More
