This place advertised it self as a very nice place on their website but the reality is sad and NASTY!!!!! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I highly recommend to find an other place to stay. The hotel is in very bad conditions and unsanitary. The bathroom my room had didn't even had a sealing it was full of mold in the walls and there where cables coming out of the walls! If that wasn't enough, the furniture in the room is falling into pieces! Also, there is only one outlet in the whole room!!!

I stayed at hotel La Selva for one night with a friend. The drive to the hotel was not the best experience.. the taxi drive went through some really dodgy areas. I arrived alone all frightened and nervous. (My friend was to arrive a few hours after me)
The moment I walked in and was greeted by Javier all that went away! He reassured Me that it is a safe hotel and he has a good security system. He and his sister were so welcoming and caring which made me feel like I arrived at a good place! And it was! Javier has been working very hard to make the hotel an upmarket place the room that we got 201 was cosy, small and just perfect for a night. There was free wifi. The hotel is under going renovations, so during the day there is some noise and the corridors are still in the making, but all of that was compensated by the warm welcome!
We had a delicious breakfast made by the hotel cook, Javier was kind enough to order a taxi to take us to the airport, which is about 20 minutes away! Very comfortable! I cannot wait to come back and see how the hotel will look once all the renovations are done!
Thank you very much! Very lovely

This is just another of the many (very)-budget hotels you can find all around Mexico city, but the incredibly low price of this place makes it a very popular choice for super-budget travellers who don't mind giving up some comfort for the advantage of staying right in the heart of the city.

The staff is very helpful and friendly; the breakfast is so yummy and Alicia is a great cook. The location is a little hidden but you feel comfortable and safe regardless. Very close to two metro stations and close corner stores to buy anything you might need. You have access to wi-fi but you have to get out of your room to use it. Great service though, definitely coming back!

I stay here every time I visit DF the owner is super helpful, the linen fresh and clean and it's just a few metro stops from the city centre. Easy to get to by metro from the airport. Sure sometimes the cleaning is less than perfect. It's a $20 a night hotel with private bath and free WiFi so don't expect the Hilton!

I started my trip through Mexico in this hotel in which i stayed 3 nights. Small, simple room but what else would you need? The owner Javier and Eduardo speak fluent english and when something went wrong with my car rental they arranged a new one to be brought to the hotel the next day. They told me which places to visit on my trip and since i didnt book anything else it was more than welcome. The lady who was preparing the food and coffee is a lovely person too. The baguette was great! And the coffee actually quite good. When i'm back in Mexico city at the end of the month i'll be staying here again for sure and Will advise Anyone i know to start their Mexico trip here! Muchos gracias!

The cleanliness of the hotel is very unsatisfactory, there was hair on the bathroom floor and even a condom in the sink (since the hotel works in a zone of prostitution, including you can hear pleasure moans from the other rooms).
In addition to the pleasure moans, another thing that disturbs the sleep of the guests is the loud outside noise (there's an overpass near the hotel).
But worst of all was the fact that my netbook have been stolen inside the hotel and its administrators have not taken their responsibility for case.
I went to Cuernavaca and had left my luggage in the care of the hotel, when I came back, I realized that my netbook had been stolen. Immediately I have reported the fact to the hotel managers, however they merely said that what happened was an "accident" and they have no way to controll the entrance of guests into the luggage storage.
That excuse is an absurd, a hotel that wants to be respected can not allow guests entry alone into the luggage deposit freely. In this case, the person has stolen my netbook not only entry alone as he/she had enough time to open the my bags.
In a respectful hotel I can not imagine a crazy situation like that: guests entering alone into the luggage store and having enough time to act quietly, checking bags which belong to other guests and stealing what they wish. Totally insane!!!
Again I insist: Hotel managers merely said me that it was an "accident", and that another guest stole my netbook and that any camera of the hotel was able to capture who was responsible.
As compensation for the injury that I suffered (and at the same time a recognition by the guilt and failure of the hotel in this case), one of the managers of the hotel offered me 300 pesos (25 US dollars) of discount on payment of the room, which was ridiculous in comparison to the great prejudice, since my netbook had all my photos and important study and work files.
This hotel, for me, has lost all its credibility and I will never come back to host there again.

Hola.
