The restaurant itself is so beautiful. We loved the music playlist, and amazing waitstaff. Having eaten at Pujol before (old location) we were SO excited for our meal! My husband and myself left disappointed, everything was good but not great, we felt that most courses lacked flavor and that wow factor. We did love the Mexican street fare that started the meal, the mole and the complimentary churro. We will be back for the Taco omakase, but don’t think we’ll return for the traditional tasting menu.

I was looking forward to eating here not just for the food as it has a world wide reputation, I have the chefs cookbook so dinner was eagerly anticipated
We arrived mid evening, a great looking interior, nice central table, buzzy and atmospheric.
We chose different dishes so we could sample the myriad flavours, textures and tastes.
The whole dinner was really disappointing, in terms of the ingredient quality, the cooking thereof, the dishes were clumsy, using poor quality tasteless ingredients including bland shellfish, lobster, tough crudely cooked almost cold lamb which was quite dreadful, the mole was good but the tortillas were forgotten then when bought very solid and heavy, is this dish really worth the hype....I think not more of a gimmick as basic cooking skills which one expects at this level was distinctly below par.
The service was at best disjointed, disinterested along with a good helping of arrogance , "implying that we should really be grateful for the opportunity of eating and being here because we are so well written about".....
Our really decent bottle of Chardonnay was the saving grace of the meal, a real shame as at this level you really do expect better even be blown away...it is after supposedly one of the best restaurants in the world, it was one of the worst meals that we ate in Mexico, avoid there is much better food more authentic if you look, maybe not as BCBG but committed to serving you delicious food with a welcoming smile

After all of the fanfare and great difficulty securing a reservation, two couples dined at Pujol. The setting and ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, with very low noise levels despite all tables having guests. The wait staff is highly attentive and multi-lingual. Only negative as regards the staff is that they moved things along a little too fast ... with some plates being removed before fully utilized.

Recognizing that one goes to a restaurant to dine, I'd doubt we'd return. Starting at the end, we left hungry. In part, this was due to portion sizes. But, more importantly, one meat dish (duck) was under cooked, while the another (lamb) was over cooked. While presentation was great, it does not fill one's stomach. A serving of fish was well-prepared.

Lastly, the mark-up Pujol's wine was ridiculously and unnecessarily high... e.g. 4X retail.

Had to try this given its ranking of 16 amongst world best restaurants. The new location is chic, high end, and very attractive. Service was very attentive, although the sommelier seems to be just doing her job. Food were solid (not wow) compared to other high end places, but when the mole madre arrived it all became clear why this place ranked so highly. My only other minor complaint is that they actually let someone walk in to eat in swim shorts, flip flops, and tank top!!!!!!! As much as I don't like dress codes and am quite casual myself, it's just not appropriate and ruins the ambiance for others as well as the reputation itself.

All of the food and service was excellent, the whole presentation and its flavor of dishes were amazing. It wasn’t a regular dine, it was more as a experience. Definitely I’d recommend
