I stayed at this hotel for about a week as part of a group. The standard rooms are all very good - comfortable beds, excellent showers, very clean and well maintained. The suites are superb though, with different designs and outstanding features. Where the hotel exceeds expectations is through additional features and quality of service. It has a lovely restaurant with great food (although more expensive than some other places in Oaxaca) and very tasty mezcal cocktails. The roof terrace offers an exceptional view and a wide selection of drinks. There is a library with a computer and books (limited reading material in English though) and a couple of lovely courtyards to relax in. The staff are all wonderful (even delivering toast, water, medication and clean towels to a friend who wasn't well during the stay) and will make your trip delightful.
I've stayed in several hotels in Oaxaca, but this has the best blend of historic colonial architecture, luxury hotel feel whilst maintaining intimacy, and superb service and location. It's a short walk to anything in town and easy to access to drive or take tours from reception to further afield destinations.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, stay in a suite!

Nice Room. Good Service. Do recommend it.

The room door and window offer very little isolation from outside noises. Nevertheless during our stay it was relatively quiet with very few guests around which was good but if you go on a busy season this might be a problem. The A/C on the ceiling has a blue display light that can be annoying at night, bring your eye mask. Very true to pictures and description on their website. I would think that it is a bit too pricey for what it is.
