Yes, in good location near downtown, but rooms extremely compact, including bathrooms/showers. Extremely noisy due to the structure of the building...can even hear guests arriving or departing. There is no hair dryer/iron/complimentary coffee, etc.. It lacks many complimentary items that other hotels in Oaxaca will automatically include during your stay...and yes, pricey too!!

Definitely will not stay under this environment ever again!

Room Tip: You should shop around downtown Oaxaca for a better choice of hotels. .

First of all welcome to be part of your choice, and therefore we give the following tip from our property:

The Hotel ABU has insonorables windows and doors for your rest to be effective, you have hairdryer in rooms that are proportional to the size of the bed of your choice.

Hotel Abu is in a great location, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel is kept very clean. The shampoo, hand cream, soap, and a small water bottle are complimentary - but a slightly larger water bottle with the number 30 printed on the cap is not free. The 30 on the cap indicates that it costs 30 pesos ($2.40). A gallon of bottled water costs much less than that in a store around the corner. My husband and I stayed in Hotel Abu 9 nights. We didn't complain that water was not left in the room each day because we regularly bought water at the nearby store. We were charged for 6 bottles of water when we checked out - even though only 4 had been left in the room. I know that food and drink in a refrigerator are not free, but our room did not have a refrigerator. We suggested the hotel leave a sign that the water is not free!

Room Tip: None of the rooms are quiet because of street or patio noise, but when people don't talk in the patio, the patio rooms are quieter.

My wife and I went to Oaxaca for our anniversary...booked this hotel based on your reviews and the price.
I can tell you that the Location is more than perfect...everything is 3 blocks away.
The only "con" with this hotel is that the rooms have vents in the windows so you basically hear everything like it is inside your room...our first room was next to the stairs so the first night we slept close to nothing...BUT the people from the front desk were awesome and moved us to the 3rd floor literally at the corner...problem solved.
If you are looking for a great value, location, price, service and cleanliness BOOK this hotel!

Best room is 308

Abu hotel has an excellent location in the city center. This street connects you with most of the points of interest in the city. The room was absolutely clean, but with a little musty odor. The personnel at the front desk provide information in case you need it. Very quiet at night to sleep.Wi- Fi is free.

The hotel is located in downtown Oaxaca... just in the middle of the two most important points : Zocalo & Sto Domingo.
Very clean hotel, great service although a little bit expensive. a little noisy when other guest arrive to their rooms (hallways) but if you don't mind a little bit of noise, this is perfect for you.
