I'm sorry to say that one of my favorites in Oaxaca has slipped a notch (or two). They opened with a very nice Thai menu that made for a delightful option in the city. But over my last few visits at least three menu items have changed and not for the better. First the portion of the Satay became so tiny that it leaves one feeling cheated. Then they reduced the Gold bags from 5 to 4 and changed the wrapper to one not as tasty as the original. But the worst is the steak salad. The meat was so hard and difficult to chew that it gave me a headache. I would rather see them raise prices than cut quality. I will not go back for a while, but hope that when I do, I can report a return to their original greatness.

Wonderful food in a friendly and cozy atmosphere. The owner is on hand to provide tips and general conversation; to advise on the spicyness of the various dishes on offer; and to run across the street for a beer if you need it (the restaurant doesn´t yet have their own licquer license)
I ordered the mussaman curry, which came as melt-in-your-mouth chunks of tender beef in a rich sauce, accompanied by delicate, fragrant jasmine rice. A variety of fresh chillies are offered in trays .... try the red chillies marinated in soy sauce if you want to kick it up a notch or two!
Lastly, join Tom at the cafe ´Be Coffee´ , directly in front of Nid Noi Nah, for more chatter, excellent mescal & tequila and/or a few beers

OK, I get it, you don't really come to Oaxaca to eat Thai food. But if you tire of moles and other Oaxacan dishes and find yourself looking for something different, Nid Noi Nah will satisfy your SE Asian cravings quite well.

This is an excellent restaurant! The owner was so friendly and nice to talk with and the food was amazing - and very cheap! It was nice to try something else than just Mexican food. We had a really good experience and would love to go back!
