Took a 8 hour private charter for 2 this past Friday. Was an excellent trip, caught 3 sailfish, several large barracuda, 1 kingfish, bunch of bonitos, snappers and triggerfish. Brand new gear, hard working mates who work extremely hard to put you onto fish. The action was non-stop.

Only minor complaint - not very friendly

We chartered the Kianah for a six hour trip on May 6, 2018.. Hector, the owner/operator, is sharp and well-organized. Hector is a real pro. Alex, the captain, and his crew worked tirelessly the entire trip. And we hooked fish nonstop. First, Alex got us into a school of heavy-bodied amberjack. Then we hooked the first of two sailfish. We missed the first one, but we boated (and released) the second after a furious thirty minute fight. We finished the day landing some nice sized dorado. If you're looking for offshore fishing adventure in Cancun, Kianah's Sportfishing is a top choice.

Had a great trip on the Grand Slam with Capt Hector and crew. We did a variety of fishing techniques. We had best success trolling for bluefin on light tackle. We did some bottom jigging and came up with a beautiful Red Snapper. Had some strikes from some very smart fish that ate everything but the hook. Lost some, landed some, went awhile without so much as a sniff while trolling deep for billfish and had some periods where we couldn't sit down without a reel going off. That's fishing.

Signed up for a “shared charter” but morning rains seemed to keep others away. So was just myself. Motored out to the grounds about 5-7 miles south of Isla Mujueres ( my guess) and got 5 lines out. Hooked up to about a 35 lb yellow fin and while bringing him to the boat hooked up a sail fish. Boated both released the sail. Got a Dorado next. Few Bonita. Then got a double sailfish. While being a bit aggressive on the first he broke off but then boated and released the largest one. Then got a few snappers (cooked one up at the dock restaurant) and some rainbow runners. Great day with a “un shared” shared charter. Transport was also provided which was nice

Been fishing a great deal and had many different experiences. From the beginning dealing with Alex to meeting Hector and his crew very professional. Wife wasn't doing great on this particular day but still caught a few fish before heading in early. I will definitely call Alex the next time I need a boat in this area. Cancun, Puerto Morales, and Isla Mujeres. Best thing I can say is "As Advertised" .

We had a very successful trip! The crew was ready to go, even a bit early. Aboard the Grand Slam, Chico, Chino and Eden were on top of their game!! We asked for sail fish and they brought us to them. We landed two nice fish. Then they took us to a shipwreck and we caught barracuda, red snapper, trigger fish and a grouper! They certainly know their stuff and really made for an exciting trip! Alex was a pleasure to deal with in making the reservations. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Kianah's for a very memorable experience and helping us check a box on the "bucket list"!!

The captain and crew were spectacular. We fished for and caught everything we set out to do. Our camera broke and the captain stepped right up and took pics for us. Alex then emailed them to us. The crew cleaned our fish at the end of the day and recommended a r esturant for us to get them cooked so we could eat our fresh catch of the day. The boat was clean and all the equipment top notch. We will definitely be back!

This is our 2nd time fishing with them. Alex owns the private business and doesn’t commercialize his fishing trips- therefore It’s the real deal whether it be your 1st fishing trip or 50th. His crew guys are amazing.. they do all the dirty work and you get to reel everything in. There are snacks and drinks on the boat, you get to take pics with your fish before they throw them back. Both times we’ve caught 10+. You WILL catch something. They fillet the fish for us and walked us to a nearby restaurant for it to be cooked.
