I enjoyed the service, food, and atmosphere here! It is causal dining, but they really put their best foot forward to make it so much more. The waiters were attentive, the manager stopped by the table--which is always a huge + in my book! Good service, reasonable prices, and good food. That's what it's all about!

The host was very accommodating about our indecisiveness over a table. We finally choose to sit out in the dock which really added an otherworldiness to the overall dining experience. Almost like dining on a yacht, with water all around. For starters, the seafood soup was outstanding. Delicately balanced and all the fish were perfectly cooked. We both ordered Shrimp with black fettucine, the daily special. The shrimp were sweet and not overcooked, with a light breading, marinara sauce and cheese. Plenty of them as well. The black pasta was satisfying, but not outstanding. It really didn't have the flavor of squid ink we've tasted before in this dish. Still an very good entree on the whole. We splurged calorically for dessert and had bananas flambe, prepared at the table. It was fastidiously prepared at our table and was very rich with complex flavors.
The decor is modern and was either recently redone or very well maintained. A nice change from the traditional marine/mexican settings most places in Cancun seem to have.
For a special treat, ask if Carlito has been around.

I personally liked downtown La Dolce Vita's food better, my wife LOVED the food here. This was her favorite stop for food on our trip, all things included. The view is fantastivc, especially during sunset over the lagoon. The food was very good. Service was great.

Outdoor seating is very nice. Red snapper special and spinach/ricotta ravioli were excellent. However, the rigatoni viva Mexico and linguine chipotle were just average. Service was decent.
