This was our first time in Mexico and we loved staying at the Riu Palace Peninsula. The hotel is amazing, the staff is wonderful, the whole place is spotless, the beach is beautiful we couldn't ask for a better experience!
We stayed in the adult only villas, ours was on the 3rd floor, not facing the ocean but it didn't matter to us. We didn't spend too much time in the room anyways. But they are very spacious and clean. That's all we needed!
This hotel has several restaurants. We tried the steak house, which was ok. We also tried the Mexican restaurant and the VIP restaurant, both were disappointing. We really liked the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets however. There is a wide variety of foods to choose from at each buffet so we were always able to enjoy our meals. The seafood especially was delicious.
At the beach we were always able to find sunloungers and umbrellas close enough to the water. Cruz was always walking around taking our orders, so we were never out of something cold to drink. We do not drink alcohol but there at lots of other options we were able to enjoy.
The resort itself is just beautiful and we really loved lounging around or taking walks just to enjoy the views. If you're looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind, this is it!More
