Lets be frank, my rating of the hotel is reflected by the price. I did not have one of the ocean view rooms. The rooms were nice, beds were very comfy, the fridge and microwave worked well, bathroom was very nice and functional, and the A/C worked well. The floors are all tile, it pays to have flip flops or slippers, but on the plus side the maid was able to keep it very clean. The balcony was nice with a couple of chairs, plus room to dry out diving gear. Room safe was secure. Only negatives would be it would help to have a chest of drawers for clothes storage and a chair in the room. they had those in the ocean front room.

Location was great. Only a minute walk to dive boat piers and 5 minutes to the ferry pier. Breakfast at the Casa was great, rivaled any breakfast buffet in the US. Around the hotel there must be 200 restaurants within a 10 minute walk, I never needed a cab during my entire stay (9 days). The Thirsty Cougar is noisy, but quiets down around 10pm, most of the rest of the noise comes from the Pizza Hut delivery guys. Even for the ocean front rooms the traffic on the main road quickly dies down after 9 pm. So one can get a good nights sleep. Wifi works, but don't expect to move large files like lots of pictures. This appears to be an island wide issue.

I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony.

I was just for a night, but the room was super clean. Would be great if it had drinking water in the room, cause in Mexico you can not drink tap water. The breakfast was perfect, fabulous! the best one in my trip.

This is an outstanding hotel in the mid-cost range. Spotlessly clean, with nice beds and good bath and shower. I have been repeatedly staying in this hotel for about 20 years and can mind no reason to not continue.

Room Tip: I love the ocean view balcony rooms. I always choose rm #39

A friend and I both booked non refundable rooms at Suites Bahia through booking.com on our Visa in July 2017. The reservation charge was processed but nine days later both our cards had fraudulent charges. Mine were from a Mexico hardware store and his were from Brazil. This seems like too much of a coincidence since those were the only bookings I have made recently. I have not been able to get any information on how the credit card information is handled between booking.com and Suites Bahia.
