Our stay at this hotel was a first on our visits to Cozumel - we've always stayed outside of town where it's quieter, but this time we wanted to try something new and stay in town to experience the night life, convenience of being able to walk to all destinations within the "square" area. First, the hotel is very clean, housekeepers are wonderful with keeping everything spotless. The room itself (we had a suite with the separate kitchen & living room) was large enough for the 2 of us. There was a smell of a room being closed (musty) when we arrived, but after opening the windows and getting a breeze through, it was ok. The bedroom area could be closed off with a door from the other areas for a/c & includes a safe. Ensuite bathroom has a shower, no tub - one sink counter area. There was a fan in the living room area & we really liked being able to relax on the sofa with the old style wooden colonial windows opened along with the door to the patio/balcony - a nice breeze in this area with the sounds of the shopping area below and square just a half block away. There was always some kind of sounds going on which is par for staying in the middle of it all - you'll hear music until 3-4am from bars down the street, people yelling/calling for each other, animals barking, the gas trucks, the garbage truck early morning 3am or so - not so much that it would be too much noise, but just be aware that if you are used to quiet time, you won't have that in this location. There's a convenience store next door (OXXO) but I have to tell you that the person behind the counter took advantage of my husband when he paid in US cash - he didn't give him his change back and told him the cost was more than what it really was. I saw what happened and made the cashier aware that I knew what he was doing. Do yourself a favor and walk a block to the 7-11 that is in the square - much nicer cashiers and honest, plus the prices are better. Having the dining table and kitchen, sink & refrigerator were nice - you'll find plates, cups, glasses, silverware, etc. available to you. There's also pots/pans and a small hotplate to cook. No microwave though. There's no pool at the location - I want to say I remembered reading on their site they provide tickets or entry for Mr. Sanchos, but that was never offered to us & I didn't ask for it. They did provide us with wrist bands so we could walk to Casa Mexicana for the daily breakfast buffet (7am-11am). This is a couple of blocks walk, not a bad walk along the waterfront for a nice morning stroll. Each night, we would walk to the square which is very close by and listen to some type of music-whether it be at Woody's or one of the other places in the square, there was always a nice time at the square in the afternoons/late evening. I'll review on the many different places we ate at in & around the square as well. Shopping locations also are very close by this hotel, we bought all of our souvenirs within a one block area of the hotel. The parking situation is a bit different - no parking at the hotel, so there is a small parking lot around the corner on Calle 3 - walk toward Calle 3 turn right and it's right next to Al Pie de Carbon restaurant. I can't say enough about the lady at the parking lot for helping me - she didn't understand English, so I used Google translate to help bridge the gap. You can park your vehicle there overnight, you just have to explain that is what you want - the cost for us was 150 pesos per night (appr $8/US per night), she gave us a key also for the lock in case we needed our vehicle during the night. They opened at 8am, locked the gates at 11pm. All-in-all, if you don't mind parking a block or so away and the activity & sounds all around you, this is a really good value, clean hotel to stay in and I would recommend it!

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room with balcony - not all have a balcony. Has a good view of the clock tower/square.

best price value hotel in Cozumel
perfect located 2star hotel (renowated 2015) 2 min walk from ferry and plaza mayor in pedestrian zone nearby to restaurants, shops, dive centers,... . Rooms are spacey and comfortable even a little bit dark. However who spends his days in room at caribbean seaside? AC and Cleanness in whole hotel are excellent. Breakfast is served at 4star sister hotel casa mexicana and even 4star plus standard. Absolut recommend this little gem hotel in Cozumel. :)

Room Tip: take suites plus $ absolut worth for 2nd room with couch and table. TV is just in bedroom

The hotel is downtown and is close to everything! Would definitely use them again because the room was very clean and the area was safe with lots to do and cabs to take you anywhere you wanted to go. The continental breakfast is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel but it was good and worth walking to.

Suites Colonial is where I stay every time I go to Cozumel. They have large clean rooms, great customer service and serve a fantastic breakfast. The location is right in the middle of EVERYTHING in San Miguel.
