Fast, loud and hip with vegetarian options and French croissants and dishes. The Pan Bagnat with steamed tuna (basically seared on the outside almost raw inside but very tasty) with a raspberry vinaigrette on lettuce was excellent. The Poached eggs on a slice of brown bread with heavily herbed potatoes are also very good. Good coffee, chai tea and black tea (but you have to pay for a second cup). But the green lemon tea was basically hot water with a slice of lemon. Nice, friendly service but the staff are always run off their feet.
Live music on Sunday. Vegan brownie was typically cakey and very good.
Overall the food is good and the staff are friendly, but the owners need to manage the tables better. There is always a lineup, it is difficult to get a table and students hog the tables long after they’ve finished their single cup of coffee so they can use the free wifi to play with their laptops. Very rude! Washrooms are only so so. We went several times and braved the long wait for a table because the food was worth it.
