Owner description: COBA MAYAN TRADITIONS is one of the greatest Familiar and Cultural tour in the Riviera Maya! Offers you one of the most authentic insights of the Mayan culture, ancient and actual world in Coba archeological site, a real Mayan Village and a fabulous Cenote. In this tour you will visit the tallest Mayan Pyramid (Nohoch Mul) in the zone. The only one still available to climb nowadays! The view on the top is mesmerizing!! Coba ancient city hosts two courts of the famous and mysterious “Ball game”. After our ancestral Mayan journey, we will transfer to the Mayan contemporary Village. Where our visitors enjoy and have a connection with this unique place inside the rain forest with a local lunch in an ecological restaurant, a Mayan Purification with a Chaman, a visit to the Mayan descendants, a demonstration of the extraction of the “Mayan Gum”. The final activity, we will invite you in to immerse in a wonderful Cenote discovering one of the attractions that you can only find in the Mayan Riviera. Our archeological guides will be your host of the area and country they are very knowledgeable of all the information and service that you can imagine about Mexico. In COBA MAYAN TRADITIONS you will spend the day exploring and embracing the amazing Mayan World!

An early start but you miss the crowds and the heat of the day. Roberto 'the wolf' was the guide who was superb and very passionate about the Mayan history. He was very knowledgeable about everything that was asked and was a delight to have as our tour guide. The ruins were fantastic, the more so when all was explained about this amazing civilisation. The climb is steep and care needed to be taken, but the reward is a great view. Afterwards we went to a Mayan house and Roberto explained how they lived and why their civilisation failed ultimately . Lunch followed and then a dip in a cent which was not to be missed on the way back to the hotel. A thoroughly recommended tour led by a great guide and well worth the money. We know people who have been to Chichen Itza and we think that our tour was better, especially considering that you have a 3 hour journey there and 3 hours back!

Booked this trip through TUI it was an escorted tour and from pickup to drop off we had a great day. The tour guide Alex (aka the Mexican James Bond) did a fabulous job, very informative and also explained everything in a laughable style. He called us his agents and family and kept us well informed and entertained all day.The trip included a Mayan village, lunch at a typical Mexican restaurant and a cenote which we had a swim in.All in all it was a fantastic day with a brilliant guide and driver would highly recommend.

Although it was an early start coffee, juice and pastries were provided on the coach. Alex our guide was a delight-very knowledgeable and funny and we learnt so much about Mayan history and tradition. Unfortunately it rained most of the day so climbing the pyramid didn't seem too good an idea but the tuk-tuk ride back to the entrance was a real "white knuckle " experience. The inclusive meal was very good and the sun came out for our visit to the Mayan community. Pouring rain again put us off swimming in the cenote but the area was absolutely beautiful. A "must"
