Description: Las Estrellas Restaurant, located within Cabanas La Luna premises, is like a secret place still to be discovered. It offers a blend of fresh local ingredients creating Mexican innovative dishes. The beautiful setting of the restaurant reminds of places somewhere in the Middle East, but it stays in the same time truly Mexican. During the day, guests at Las Estrellas can enjoy the beautiful clear view of the Mexican Caribbean while savoring a light, fresh lunch. Every evening our chefs create three or four special dishes. Our fresh catch of the day is always a big hit.

Estrellas is one of the more beautiful settings for a restaurant in the Tulum hotel zone, where there are many stunning places to eat. You sit up on a rustic deck or under a thatch roof, surrounded by an impeccably trimmed jungle, with a view towards the sea. The hosts were incredibly attentive and friendly, and our entres (the chicken, and the spicey fish filet) were perfect. A lot quieter than some of the other top restaurants, if that's what you're in the mood for.

Good food and service with reasonable pricing. Very comfortable seating and a nice ambience in the restaurant and outside on the grounds leading into the restaurant. The restaurant overlooks the beach and ocean and can be windy if sitting outside. Reasonable selection of fish and mexican dishes with but get there early as they may be out of some things if you go late (8 p.m.) as we did.

We had dinner at Las Estrellas (don't mistake it for The Villas at Las Estrellas, which is down the road). Las Estrellas is one of the finest meals I've ever eaten. I don't know who their chef is, but he/she can cook!!! We ordered guacamole and chips (off their menu in the evening, but that was no problem, ... and they gave us enough guacamole for 4 people ... and there were just 2 of us!). You won't get more guacamole for $5 anywhere!!!)For dinner we had the grouper and it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The atmosphere there is wonderful ... a nice indoor area to eat dinner, or you can eat outside on their deck overlooking the ocean. I can't say enough about this place! My husband and I plan to go back for dinner another night while we're here in Tulum. You can't go wrong having lunch or dinner here. Highly recommend this place for a meal!

Las Estrellas at Cabanas La Luna ... another "must" eatery in Tulum. No meal eaten here ever disappointed us.

We enjoyed the Wednesday BBQ, the lobster, ribeye, lamb chops, lobster soup, tacos de pescado, nachos, all of the salads and of course all of the desserts.

Reasonable and fair prices for this quality of food. If you like food, you will like Las Estrellas.

We stopped in at Las Estrellas for dinner and ended up just having drinks and guacamole. The menu was very limited and didn't have anything we were interested in. The drinks tasted awful, but the guacamole was very good (though it wasn't on the menu... we had to request it specially). The ambiance is amazing though, so it's worth checking out if you think the menu sounds delish.
