This is the 2nd time we have dined at this restaurant and it lived up to our expectations. The restaurant is located not far from the main road and has ample parking. Inside there are dining rooms to the left and right of the entrance and a couple of high tables by the bar.
The Sunday lunch menu offered an interesting choice of dishes and we chose the carpaccio of beef plus the mushrooms which were served on a savoury galette with a truffle espuma. To follow we decided on the lamb and sole with scallops. The lamb was beautifully cooked as was the seafood dish. Although an interesting idea, the red pepper filled with lentils (more suited to a spicier cuisine) didn't mix well with the lamb and the seafood dish could have done with a little less saffron which overpowered the delicate sole and scallops. All dishes were beautifully presented and portions were adequate. Dessert was a brownie with crème anglais and this was rather disappointing after the previous courses.
Our waiter and waitress were both friendly and provided good service.
The menu changes regularly and is always interesting, so despite the small criticisms we will definitely return. The chef is definitely innovative and the menus are always interesting especially the weekday lunch ones, however in this case he was maybe too adventurous.
