Excellent menu du jour lunch. Friendly team and lovely light lunch, full of taste surprises. The set menu and wines are well chosen. Just the right level of attention from the whole team in this very busy restaurant. Word has gotten around, so it would be a good idea to reserve. Don't miss it.

Mostly dine on Tuesdays and Thursdays when they offer an all-in formula.
3 courses of delicious original fairly light dishes with wine included for a set price.
Suits our palates as we prefer quality to quantity. We go with a group of friends or as a couple. Summertime we eat in the garden.
Lunch us light but also interesting.
It is situated in countryside very close to Waterloo golf club

The Auberge de la Roseraie is located in a very nice area and the reputation of this restaurant convinced us to go along as a family to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
The Michelin recommendations won over the years that appeared at the entrance along with a very tempting proposed menu certainly gave us the impression that we had landed in the right place.
The various refined dishes turned out to be very tasty and well balanced.
Unfortunately, this did not apply for the overpriced cocktails that were not prepared accordingly.
As we all know…. Eating good food and drinking nice wine in a restaurant is obviously of great importance….. but the service and atmosphere also play a very significant role in making such an outing a success.
Unfortunately, the ‘service’ was non-existent and the staff gave us all (and more than that…) the impression that they had absolutely no idea what this is all about.
When entering the restaurant, we had to move the tables and chairs ourselves as some of us were squeezed against the wall and no one even bothered to do this for us.
The waitress was very pushy and came back several times before we even had time to order…. and then there was the waiter who kept on serving above our heads and at one point almost scrapped a bit of skin off my daughters head when placing the knife in front of her.
The starters came pretty quick and were enjoyed, but then there was the very long wait for the tasty main course. Far too long…. As these should have been served a lot earlier considering that our appetite was really building up.
Speed was back when we asked for the bill and the waitress appeared quick as a flash with the card machine.
Even more incredible was the fact that the staff did not even both to say goodbye as done generally in restaurants where hospitality, service and education play an important part.
I would have been happy to give the Auberge de la Roseraie a better evaluation as the food was good…. But this touch of Fawlty Towers and Mr Bean ‘à la belge’ pushed this evaluation in a different direction….

I have been here twice at lunchtime and had the excellent three course lunch for Euro19. Couple of glasses of wine at reasonable prices (Euro4.5/glass I seem to recall) and in a very nice setting. What you get is a bit pot-luck and the first lunch suited me better than the second one, but both were very nice. Might upgrade and go for the evening set menu of 3 courses for Euro46 with wine ad libitum. Great value and a real find.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have liked it. The team at Roseraie were at their best tonight.
Imaginative cuisine and great service.
