“Great place at great location!”
Reviewed 13 February 2011

I have been to the Seasons multiple times. Always have had 2-BR condo as I was travelling with friends/family. Great place to be! Not pretencious, but extremely comfortable, family-friendly and clean condos. Located just across the Westin's gondola to Beaver Creek mountain (200 yds), transportation center (free bus to Vail, 50 yds), rec center, etc. Very friendly and helpfull front-desk staff. Their pricing is hard to beat considering the location and transportation options. They have never let me down even for last-minute reservations. I will always choose them when I am travelling with a bigger company.

Walked across street to get onto gondola up to beaver creek ski area. So location is great for skiers. But room needed maintenance. Peeling paint and laminate in bathroom. Very cheaply decorated room. Very noisy too. Could hear neighbors in room above us. But, for price and location, very good option for skiing weekend.

We were almost misled by other reviews about the Seasons at Avon. Just spent 4 nights there with 1 other family. The Seasons exceeded our expectations. It was extremely convenient to Beaver Creek ski resort since the Ski Bus is next door. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. The price was right.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to ski Beaver Creek but can not afford to stay in Beaver Creek Village.

This place had absolutely no ambiance. The lobby was enormous and vacant. You had to go outside on a cold and windy walk way to get to your room. There were no restaurants and very few amenities on site. The fitness center was inconveniently located and many of the machines were broken. We will not return here.

I really loved the Seasons at Avon. It was like having your own little apartment, which was nice so you could save money on food by going to the nearby supermarket and buying food to cook for yourself (there was all the cooking amenities you would need). There was a bedroom and a bathroom, a kitchen and lounge, a tv in the lounge and bedroom, a stereo system, free wi-fi, a nice fire, a barbeque on the balcony overlooking the mountains, a dining table. It was just really cozy and perfect for what we needed. There was a ski rental shop just across the road which was convenient, and the ski lifts were also just across the road. You could also get a bus to vail, with the bus stop being right next door. Staff were really helpful and friendly, and the rooms were perfectly clean. The only downside I would say is that the rooms were not cleaned throughout the whole time that we were there (4 nights).

We stayed at the Seasons at Avon for 6 days and were so pleased with the accommodations! We had a renovated room that was absolutely beautiful: gorgeous kitchen, very nice furniture in all rooms and a great view of the mountains. Location was very nice next to the shuttle stop, right next-door to the Recreation Dept. (with pool and hot tub & sauna) and the library. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed. Thank you so much Seasons for exceeding our expectations!

This is a great place to stay as long as you are not looking for high-luxury and the high society of Vail Village/Beaver Creek Village.

My wife and I took a 4 day trip to Vail and I booked our 1BR condo at the Season's at the last minute for a pretty good price ($119 for 1 night and $139 for wknd nights). I had read all the reviews about Season's and was very nervous that we were going to be staying in a dilapidated dump. But I ultimately booked the Seasons anyway because it was cheap at the last minute and was close to the Avon Gondola that takes you to the slopes of Beaver Creek.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Seasons and would stay again. I travel 10 days per month for work and am a platinum status member at Marriott -- so I always get upgraded rooms and am used to hotel staff kissing my backside, giving me whatever I want. Being used to this level of service, I was worried about the Seasons. And again, I was very happy with the staff and service that we received. It was equally as good as other hotels where I have paid much, much more per night.

The specifics:

+True, Seasons is not "luxurious". Do not stay here if you are looking for the Ritz or the chic ski bunny crowds of Vail Village/Beaver Creek Village. This is modest accommodation, similar to a Courtyard by Marriott (nice but not frilly). If you are happy in a Courtyard (or Hilton Garden Inn, etc) you will be happy here.

+Our condo was spotlessly clean, big, with a nice living room with flat panel TV, awesome view of Beaver Creek Mtn, nice bathroom with free toiletries and lots of towels, big comfy bed, work desk in bedroom and small but nice kitchen stocked with everything including wine glasses and free packs of Starbucks coffee. Also included for free is a lockable ski locker for all your gear.

+Fireplace in the living room was a nice touch and worked great.

+The staff were great . At check-in they gave us maps/directions to everywhere and they were full of local-knowledge and advice on how to get to the best ski areas and other services. They knew their stuff and were a great help. Also, after a day of skiing when my wife came home early because she dinged her knee, the staff saw her walking up the driveway, rushed out to meet her and carried all of her gear back to our condo. Checkout was a breeze, every staffer we encountered was polite and helpful. Front desk was always staffed and responsive.

+Parking is free and indoors! Try getting that at any value accommodation in Vail/Beaver Creek. Access to the parking lot was a breeze. You do have to ring a buzzer, but we never waited more than 15 seconds for gate to open -- even at 1am after coming home from apres ski drinks.

+Great location! Again, not the beautiful pedestrian-only streets of Vail Village, but you can walk to the River Gondola in 2min in ski boots, which takes you right up to Beaver Creek skiing. Try getting a big condo so close to a lift for this price....go ahead, try. The bus stop to Vail, Beaver Creek Village and all of Avon is right outside the front door of Seasons. We had our own car, but if you didn't, you would never have to walk more than a couple steps to get a bus to anywhere.

+Seasons is close to some good restaurants and fun bars, if you feel like going out in the area. It is also close to the Avon Rec Center, which is awesome (swimming pools, nice gym, etc) and Seasons gives you discounted entry.

+The town of Avon is nice and has a local feel. We enjoyed our time there. There's a supermarket and all other shops that you might need. A couple nights we went out in Avon and had a great time. Plus it's a short drive from Vail Village. We went out a couple nights in Vail Village (it really is beautiful and fun, but $$$) and had an easy 10-15min drive back to the Seasons.
